Shot over 14 years, A SISTER'S CALL follows one woman's journey to bring her brother back from Mental Illness & Homelessness.
OUR GOAL OF $7500 is a reasonable one which will absolutely help us get on track for our outreach campaign. But it is only a starting point, for it will take a village (literally) to get the word out in a big way. Every little bit makes a big difference. We can't thank you enough for your help and generosity!!
The mission of our film "A Sister's Call" is simple: To help break the stigma of mental illness and abuse, open up a healthy dialogue, and inspire hope and joy in those who see it.
This isn't a lofty goal. We have already had a few "preview" screenings with mental health organizations and other audiences and the film is getting stellar reviews. Also, wonderful organizations like National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Social Workers Speak, SZ Magazine, and many others have given us their support, as they see this film as a unique tool in helping educate and heal those who are suffering.
The film has been in production since 1997 and finally after sorting through more than 250 hours of footage over 14 years, the film is finished!!
But we need a little help...
So far we have invested about $135,000 of our own money into making this film - that's how much we believe in its potential. And now that it's complete, we just need a little more to help pay for outreach so we can positively impact all the people out there who are suffering with the issues we cover in our film.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration. We are thrilled to finally be able to tell this incredible story.
