Manufacturing - It is a bubble top trailer pulled by motorcycles, in which you can transport a dog comfortably, safely and in style.

We had a computer virus shutdown the primary computer the day of the launch.  But we are past that now and the offering page has more information & there is more coming.  Thanks  Greg

Let the INVASION BEGIN !

The DogSaucer invasion began for us many years ago!

Within her fully Department of Transportation approved vehicle, Nova has logged many (over 27,000) miles and brought forth many smiles. Public reception has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic with people asking when they can get one. That time has come & we ask you to help bring dogs to Public Life!

With Kickstarter funding, we are looking to upgrade our production facility and equip it with the tools and machines necessary to enable market-scale production. Equipment to be leased or purchased will enable:

  • rapid prototyping,
  • fiberglass / gel coating
  • acrylic bubble manufacturing,
  • cushion manufacturing,
  • custom exterior wrapping.

The DogSaucer team includes Greg Hudome, the inventor of the DogSaucer. Supporting Greg is a select cadre of senior management consultants, marketing and promotional professionals, spokespeople, product designers, production personnel and more.

Video - Reasons to Own a DogSaucer

The DogSaucer team will be on the road at bike rallies, engaging motorcycle enthusiasts and promoting the DogSaucer brand and directing them to our Kickstarter offering. Social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) are being leveraged to raise awareness. We know that people can't resist checking out the DogSaucer when they see it - we've seen them drive off the road, bump into curbs, come running over with cameras to take pictures and ask when and where they can get one!

DogSaucer Invasion Has Begun!
DogSaucer Invasion Has Begun!

We have put together an Gantt timeline which takes us through the KickStarter offering, through securing a production facility, purchasing and installing equipment, receiving supplies and manufacturing the pre-ordered units for our customers. The Gantt chart details location, equipment suppliers, material suppliers and more.

We are currently focusing on minor design changes to the fiberglass body (using Solidworks software) in order to create a more seamless design. The aluminum frame and bubble, the remaining two most complex parts, are plan complete and contingent upon the body modifications being finalized.

Finally, once the Kickstarter fundraising level is reached or obviously achievable, banks and private money are ready to provide us with bridge loans to speed ordering and delivery of production equipment and to provide Cash Flow Loans to enable smooth operations. The key to this is that no outside monies are promised until fundraising is successful while at the same time giving us a head start on our material and equipment orders enabling us to rush DogSaucers to our customers.

Motorcyclists and pet owners share some similar characteristics. Our target market is the confluence of these two demographic groups. Tending to be older consumers with more disposable income, these target customers like to reward themselves by lavishing their pets and customizing their bikes as outward extensions of themselves; the DogSaucer is a utilitarian yet unique and fascinating way of doing so.

Prime motorcycling season has begun and the DogSaucer team is anxious to launch the offering as soon as possible in order to maximize interest and to be able to achieve the full funding target quickly so that we will be able to deliver Kickstarter offering pre-orders during this summer.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

The DogSaucer is fully functional and has been on the road for years.
We have years of experience with the product, with upgrades incorporated in the Kickstarter design offering.

We have relationships in place with the equipment and materials providers.
We have an existing production capability and have developed plans to roll out a larger market-scale facility. We are limiting the number of Kickstarter offering pre-orders to prevent overextending our near-term manufacturing capability.
We have personnel ready to staff our larger facility.

We are working with distribution professionals to set up delivery of DogSaucers to our customers. At this time, sales are limited to the USA and Canada only.
