It's been an amazing few weeks. Thanks so much to everyone who backed, supported, shared and encouraged us. We can’t wait to get Whizz Pop Bang sent out to all the budding young scientists out there!
This brand new kids’ science magazine is all about making science fun for 6-11 year old children. Packed full of enticing articles and loads of ideas for hands-on experiments, Whizz Pop Bang will help inspire kids into science.
A Real, Printed Magazine
Whizz Pop Bang will be a proper printed magazine, with 36 full-colour pages. Each issue will be packed full of interesting articles, with plenty of fun experiments and activities that children can do at home with basic materials. There'll also be lots of tantalising puzzles, up-to-date science news, competitions and fascinating facts - all designed to ensure that kids are so absorbed that they won’t even realise they’re learning! This UK magazine will be sold via subscription and delivered through children's letterboxes on a monthly basis. Worldwide subscriptions are available with an extra postage cost.
For Inquisitive Girls & Boys Everywhere!
Whizz Pop Bang will be a completely gender neutral science magazine, because of course science is for girls, just as much as it is for boys. So expect to find plenty of strong female scientist role models and content that is just as likely to appeal to both sexes. The aim is to empower all children to feel that science can be within their grasp.
Links To Schoolwork
Whizz Pop Bang will be produced with a keen eye on the National Curriculum to ensure that the content of the magazine ties in with children’s learning at school. Primary schools are often unable to spend the time and resources they might like to on science, so Whizz Pop Bang offers parents an easy and inspirational way to help back up their child's education at home.
Children make excellent scientists – they’re inquisitive, keen to learn and have open minds. With your help to bring Whizz Pop Bang magazine to life, just imagine what all those mini-scientists might one day discover!

Risks and challenges
The editor, illustrator, designer, printer and distributor are all lined up and eager to get to work as soon as the project is funded. We already have some of the first issue ready (as you can see) and the remainder will be produced after the project is successfully funded. We are aiming to get the first issue out in the middle of August.
We are a very small team, so small delays might occur, for example, due to illness, but my career in publishing has made me very aware of timings and we will do our utmost to catch up any lost time and continue to meet deadlines. If there are any delays, we will keep in touch with all our funders and send out a revised delivery schedule.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
