The Burton prototype is here, and it's fabulous!

In a matter of seconds after opening up the FedEx package containing the Nock Co. Burton prototype I exhaled a big "Yesssss!" They nailed it.

Check out the pictures below, which I'll also be adding to the campaign page soon. I tried to answer the most common sizing requests. In short, it's going to fit everything A5 and A5-ish easily, with room to spare. Let's get to the pics!

Black waxed canvas exterior, final label will be different, as detailed on the campaign page.

I think these pictures will answer 99% of the "Will my favorite A5-ish notebook fit?" If it is anywhere near the ballpark of 8.3" x 5.8", or smaller, it will fit easily - even the thicker notebooks.

And one final note before I close this update out: This case is padded. I failed to mention that originally, and will be updating the description accordingly. That was another upgrade we made to make this a great stand-alone case that differs from the Lanier A5 pouch.

That's it, and it came out great! Any questions? Please let me know.

You had me at wax canvas. How is it that you seemingly know what my carry needs are? Thanks! Hope to see you in SF (work schedule pending!)

I am planning on using this to hold my TPA Lookout, Saleppo, & Tallulah!

Looking great Brad. You know what one thing would have made it perfect? A wrist strap on the spine, stiched at one end and attached with a press stud at the other. Attached it would allow me to slip my fingers through for a more secure hold when opening. Detached it would slip over the wrist to prevent it being snatched, or to allow it to hang when both hands are needed.

Thanks everyone - we appreciate the kind words!

Stacy - We chose black because it looks great in this waxed canvas material, and we have tested it before.

I’m glad I backed this wondrous case. Did you go with black because that is the most desirable color way for cases in general? I don’t notice much black in your personal color palette.
Congratulations on your excellent design mojo.

It is more spacious than expected. Can't wait to start toting that around. Thanks for the design and production quality. Jim
