About this project
Hunter is the second in a series of YA Urban Fantasy novels. This one is after Bay-Lee leaves her father's school and tries to return to a normal life. Her boyfriend Nick is dead, and she feels responsible because she was driving the car. It is unclear at first if Nick is following her as a ghost out of love or revenge. When she returns to Van Helsing's school for hunters, she finds a great deal of trouble in the form of a psycho reaper named Maxx. Secrets come to light. A new boy enters her life and tries to help her get over Nick, kind of hard to do since he is still hanging around.
Bay-Lee wants to be a hunter, wants to move up in rank so she can hunt down the werewolf pack that killed her mother. In the first book she gave up revenge for love, but now Nick is dead.
By the end of this story, she will face reapers, a border monster, and a homicidal hunter.
Risks and challenges
Since I was 12, I have dreamed of being a writer, and although I managed to write a couple of books for Harlequin, success has eluded me. This is what I was born to do. I love telling stories, and the people who read them usually love them. My problem is getting the books out there so people will know about them. They can't read them if they've never heard of them. So I need some money to market this new book that I am trying to finish. Somehow I have to get the word out there. I know people will love my books if they just get a chance to read them.
As soon as I finish this book (rewrites and editing), I will publish it in book form with Createspace as well as upload it to places like Amazon. I have to order a physical copy and check to make sure it is okay. If it is, then I will make it official and order copies to autograph. This process can take up to a month. At the very latest, I will have the books ready to go at the end of February.
