Coffee. Whether it’s waking you up or fueling you through the day, it’s an essential part of life—especially ours. Which is exactly why we wanted to redefine it. Osaka revolutionizes the traditional french press by allowing you to extract your coffee in a way that gives you full control of your brew.
Hot or cold. Fast or slow. Our french press is tailored to your taste.
Your pace. Your call. No grounds.
New to French press brewing? Take your coffee to the next level.
Nobody wants to start off their morning with the taste of bitter coffee. Our french press utilizes a patent-pending mechanism that seamlessly separates the grounds from the coffee, giving you the power to stop the brewing process exactly to your liking. When the filter isn’t being pushed down, it will fully lock to prevent over-extraction. The result? Consistently smooth, flavorful, full-bodied coffee. You can create a light, medium, or dark brew to your exact taste, without any fear of over-extraction.
French presses can give you the best coffee, but more often than not, grounds find their way into your cup and ruin your last few sips. That’s why we included a double-layered seal with stainless steel mesh, preventing grounds from slipping into your coffee. No more mouthfuls of grounds in your morning cup of joe.
Each Osaka French Press carafe is hand blown with high-quality borosilicate glass, ensuring that no breakage will occur from thermal shock, so you can maintain control of the temperature without sacrificing safety. While we love the smell of coffee, our french press won’t absorb any chemicals or odors, so the only thing you’ll notice is its’ sleek design. Our stainless-steel mesh filter was designed with durability and longevity in mind, guaranteeing that it will retain the perfect shape through every use, as well as being dishwasher-safe for your convenience.
We have designed our product to be simple, easy to use, and free of perplexing directions to maximize your coffee brewing experience. Our french press also comes with a silicone base for a non-slip grip that protects your coffee from potential slippage.
Even if you choose the best coffee beans in the world and use the purest of water to brew your coffee, using a french press that lets your coffee sit and over brew can ruin the entire experience. The Osaka French Press allows you to choose what kind of brew you want -- light, medium, dark -- you decide. Prefer a cold brew? Osaka makes the perfect iced coffee to your specification.
Just like the way you choose your brew, the Osaka French Press gives you the option to choose different colors, including silver, rose gold and matte black. Every little detail counts to add to your daily grind.
Getting tired of coffee? Osaka’s technology has a variety of uses to take your kitchen to the next level. Instead of coffee grounds:
- Use loose-leaf tea to create a customized hot or cold beverage.
- Make your very own almond, soy, or cashew milk for a dairy-free alternative.
- Froth milk for lattes and make homemade whipped cream for some delightful desserts.
- Infuse oils with herbs, or even flavor liquor with your favorite fruits to personalize your cooking and cocktails.
The possibilities are endless!
To Osaka’s enthusiasts and technicians, coffee is much more than a beverage. It’s a lifestyle.
We take this inspiration to develop the best products that enhance your coffee brewing experience, one cup at a time. We believe that great coffee makes even greater people, and we do everything in our power to give you the power to be great, with great products. And we believe that french pressed coffee shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality or taste to be thoroughly enjoyed.
Osaka blossomed from the pure love of coffee held by each and every one of its’ company’s members. We have a small staff of enthusiasts who seek to innovate and improve the way we drink coffee. The compact size of our company allows for colorful brainstorming sessions, giving us the power to relate to the consumer instead of just throwing a product on the market. We all take part in testing, approving, and using the products we sell. As self-labeled “coffee snobs,” we know that if a product is up to our standards, it’s most definitely good enough to have a permanent position in your kitchen.
We always seek to take coffee to the next level, pushing the limits, and getting results. Rest assured, we won’t stop until we find the secret to making the perfect cup of coffee. And when we do, you’ll be the first to know.
At Osaka, we start every day with a cup of coffee in hand. Having a morning meeting without a cup of coffee would be unnatural. Which is why we always have a carafe brewing before the sun comes up. On one fateful day, however, we ran into a problem. Using a traditional French press, we brewed our coffee, was just about to pour it into our mugs and, as many people do in the morning, got distracted with another coffee-related matter.
After some time, we realized that the scent of fresh coffee wasn’t wafting into our noses, nor the warmth permeating through the cup and into our palms. We ran into the kitchen to discover a tragedy: the coffee was over-brewed. We poured it into our cups with the hope that it would taste just fine, but our worst fears had become reality. It was too late. The coffee was bitter. We had failed to “babysit” the coffee as we should have, and consequently, the entire pot was ruined. We know, it sounds overdramatic, but it’s almost painful to watch our cherished morning coffee swirl down the drain.
That’s when an idea suddenly illuminated into our minds like lightbulb.
What if we created a french press that was able to stop the extraction process altogether? We could run off, get distracted, and still come back to a perfect carafe of coffee, not over brewed, just the way it should be. And what about those pesky grounds that always make their way into our cup? Let’s get rid of them too!
And so, the revolutionary Osaka French Press was born, right in the kitchen of our office.
After much trial and error, and a few more bitter cups of coffee, we’ve finally created a product that we’re proud to introduce to the world, starting with you.
We’ve put hundreds of hours into the design, traveled a total distance of 43,218 global miles, gone through exactly 14 prototypes, and have bought more coffee than we can count. All the effort put into the Osaka French Press has been well worth it, and we look forward to sharing our product with you.
We know not everyone will be able to support us with a pledge, so even if you can’t give a dollar or purchase an Osaka French Press, you can help us spread the word on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Instagram and anywhere else you can think of!
We can’t thank you enough for checking out our project and helping us make the Osaka French Press a success.
