Risks and challenges
Project challenges? Besides making this Kickstarter video? Ha Ha! I loathe recording myself. But I will do whatever it takes to bring this project to fruition.
I know that this platform can help so many. I noticed the need for it when I saw my nanny sharing Facebook group (for Chicago area alone) organically growing into the thousands! So many are looking to come together and to nanny share. But they need a more comprehensive option like Via The Village to efficiently organize and support the process.
Being a mother of two and in a nanny share for years, I have an intimate understanding of the market. In addition, being a nurse for more than a decade has made me very resourceful and good under pressure. Further, I have had so much help along the way from people who want to encourage the success of this platform. You know who you are and I thank you!
I would like to extend special thanks to Bharat Walia, who has been there with me from the start guiding and advising week after week. Sincere gratitude to you for your constant engagement and sharing of your expertise and thoughtful insights.
I can say this endeavor has taken a lot more effort than I understood when I began. The efforts namely in time and money! But I have been blessed with a passion for it and much encouragement. It has been lots of fun and challenging in a good way as I have completely stepped outside of my comfort zone.
There is so much potential here, but bringing this into creation will take a village as well! As costs start to add up, I ask for your help to "Kickstart" this endeavor.
I am seeking $15,000 in backing. This is the minimum amount needed for the proper development of the web application.
Of course, I would be thrilled if this campaign raised even more. Any funds raised after the initial goal is met will go directly into enhancing design, marketing and development of more features to benefit the lives of many families, nannies and children.
Thank you for your support. Any backing that you can give, large or small, is greatly appreciated. And please do share this campaign through social media, texts, and conversations with others!
