A horror comedy in the likeness of "Bill and Ted" meet the "Evil Dead". Two dudes accidentally open the door to hell! What now?
Hell Hole is the story of these two slackers who hook up with some hot ladies they met online. Traveling out to a rural town dive bar, they hope to have an epic evening of getting drunk and getting lucky. Unfortunately plans change when one of them discovers a locked door in the back.
Accidentally opening the door they release what has been hiding inside. A hole that descends straight into hell! This allows every creep, monster and freak from the underworld to crawl out. The rural town is now under siege from hell's beasts. The fate of their hot lady dates and the planet now falls into their hands. Do they have the courage, and the motivation to stop hell on earth before it's to late?
My name is Eric Hollinshead, I am the humbled writer/director of this upcoming horror comedy. This being my first feature length film I am extra excited. I have been interested in film making for about five years now, writing stories and scripts when time allows, working as crew on local independent productions, and creating a few short films of my own. The most recent, (Rest in Peace) will hopefully help show you what I'm about. That film was made for about $600, and help from an awesome community of actors and artists.
It was a really good time, and I hope to apply the same formula to a feature. My working script is complete, and soon will begin casting, hoping to begin filming as early as September this year.
My goal is to enter into the Atlanta Film Festival for Spring 2013. As well as into the Halloween film festivals such as Screamfest LA and NYC Horrorfest and ultimately land distribution.
Almost all the funding you provide here on Kickstarter will go to making the monsters super bad ass! It is very important for me to get that part right and not just use dried out Halloween make up in my garage from last year. Hiring a make up artist who will build all the custom latex, silicone and props needed to make hell walk isn't free.
If there is any left over it will be used for miscellaneous production equipment such as lighting, camera rigs, police car rentals.
Estimated cost of hiring a make up artist and crew for this is around $7,500. If you contribute anything over that amount, we will continue to use it to invest in the production, and blood, and just plain awesomeness! What we have is what we'll spend!
I've tried to include put up some great incentives in thanks for your support of the film, but if you have an idea, and would like to contribute, but don't see anything appealing here, please suggest one below, or get in touch with me.
I can't thank you enough for believing in this project! I truly am humbled as you help me create hell to earth! Muahahaha!
Thank you! Eric
