“Lost Skeleton Returns“ from Michale Graves - former lead singer for the Misfits - his first anthology Monster Rock CD ever....
Fresh off of the recent success of the KickStarter “Vagabond” pop/folk/rock project, and by popular demand of his fans, Michale Graves is going back to his musical roots by creating his first Monster Rock album in 8 years….
Michale is a music industry pioneer and some say is the most unique voice that has ever performed in the Monster Rock genre. He is also an accomplished rock/folk singer and has focused on this category over the last 4 years, donning his immediately recognized “Skele-Crow” persona for very special few occasions. But that is all about to change - with the release of the “Lost Skeleton Returns” album - for the first time ever he is recording 14 songs on one CD from each stage of his Monster Rock evolution - including 4 new and never before recorded songs - all in one CD. Michale will be leading his newly formed “Chamber of Horrors" band with Monster Lead Guitar, Monster Bass, Monster Drums, Monster vocals – PURE MONSTER ROCK! Michale Graves, the Lost Skeleton – Returns!
Michale has been thrilling fans since he exploded onto the stage is 1995 with The Misfits. His earliest roots as an entertainer began in the theatre and Michale has acted in several motion pictures. Michale’s musical heritage is placed firmly in the chronicles of the Monster Rock movement. Beginning with his entrance into the Rock n’ Roll world through his bands Lost Boys, Gotham Road and his current band Michale Graves, Michale has defined and revolved the genre throughout his career. His album history includes the classics “American Psycho”, “Famous Monsters” and “Cuts From The Crypt”, with Gotham Road he recorded “Seasons of the Witch” and his own band recorded the album “Punk Rock is Dead” in 2005.
Michale joined The Misfits in 1995 and Punk music was immediately impacted. Michale rapidly shifted the band’s music from the Monster Rock style that it originated in 1977 into an Anthem Rock vib that the band is most recognized for throughout the world. Not only a gifted vocal artist, Michale wrote the lyrics and music for the most popular Misfits’ songs including “Dig Up Her Bones”, Scream”, “American Psycho”, “This Island Earth”, “Fiend Without a Face”, “Shining” and the classic “Crying on Saturday Night” along with many more memorable songs. Enjoying US and world-wide acclaim Michale was named the “Number One Vocalist” in Japan in 1999. After a success run with the band Michale separated from The Misfits in 2001, and he counts that time as a gift that he will always cherish with love and respect, for the band and all of the fans that experienced the electrifying in concert musical experiences the band created.
Gotham Road and Michale Graves Band
A few years after leaving The Misfits and moving on from "Graves" Michale formed a band called Gotham Rd. The band played hundreds of dates on the U.S. club circuit performing and promoting a seven song EP called "Seasons of the Witch". In May of 2003 NJs' premier college radio station, 89.5 FM WSOU, Seton Hall's Pirate Radio Station, charted the band at #30 after only several days of rotation. The bands single entitled, "Seasons of The Witch" shot to number 2 and held steady for weeks.

Many of the planned Skele-Crow appearances are highlighted in this KickStarter project - but be assured that the "Skele-Crow"will be very selective during 2013.
“Lost Skeleton” Music Video
As a feature to this CD, Michale along with the Hydraulic Entertainment team will create a music video for the song “Lost Skeleton”. The video will be a mini movie spectacle. The video will be shot in old school black and white and will have a “low budget” look and feel. Michale has also created several ways that fans can participate in the “Lost Skeleton” music video. All pledge levels above $25 will get the “Lost Skeleton” music video.
Limited Edition KickStarter Exclusive Signed and Numbered CD’s available only on Kick Starter
Michale has created several pledge levels for this project ranging from $5 to $5,000 for an in-person full band performance. The heart of this project is the Lost Skeleton Returns CD and Michale is offering something special for his friends and fans at the $50 pledge level: a limited number (1000) of signed and number “Lost Skeleton Returns” CD’s that will have limited distribution: only to the Kick Starter community. No other distribution will be available of this 14 song (plus exclusive behind the scene footage only found on the KickStarter album) CD. Each CD at the $50 level will be signed/numbered by Michale and the band and personalized for each person whose pledge level includes the exclusive CD.
Also we are redefining the CD with the "Michale Graves CD" - the MGCD© is a first ever pre-loaded MP3 player will all of the songs from "Lost Skeleton Returns" as well as the "Lost Skeleton" music video - played on a 1 1/2 inch screen!
And take a look - two of the pledge levels involve what will surely be THE HALLOWEEN PARTY OF THE YEAR hosted by Michale in Philadelphia. There are a limited number of 100 guests for this event. All guests are expected to come in costume and there will be a special prize for the best male and best female costumes/make-up - awarded by the “Skele-Crow” himself. See both levels of pledges for details.
How to Make a Monster - Michale Graves Monster University
Michale is offering a very special pledge level that involves Michale and Mark Allen Stuart serving as consultants to your band. They will spend 2 days with you and your band - day one will be about experiencing your band (and your brand) and music as well as the business side of your group. Day 2 will be about Michale and Mark providing expert advice designed to position your band in the best possible way.
Michale's Live Performances for Fans
Michale has created 3 pledge levels designed to deliver his music live in very personal and memorable way. His acoustic tour was an important part of the Vagabond project and Michale wanted to create a variety of pledge levels for live performances based on the positive feedback he recieved.
Why Kick Starter
Michale wants to share this project with his fans and believes KickStarter is the best way to do so. He isn’t using the KickStarter platform as a way to raise funds – he is using it to pre-sell/promote the album and provide a way that his fans can be involved with its creation. This version of the CD will only be offered on the KickStarter platform.
A Note on Travel Expense
Michale is offering several pledge levels that will require the person pledging to also include funds for travel expense. We are a low cost operation. We maximize travel and economize in every way. This is not a profit center for us – we are just looking at recouping travel and hotel costs.

A Note from the Skele-Crow
Monster Rock is my origin, it is my passion, it is who I am and part of who I will always be. At this point in my career I am very selective about when/where/how the Skele-Crow is seen and I feel that the time is so right to have him back in the fans consciousness. Thank you all for loving this music and I hope this album can be the center of your Punk world…..
New Pledge Additions
Risks and challenges
We anticipate that there will be significant interest in this project based on Michale’s worldwide fan base and the recent success of his Kickstarter “Vagabond” exclusive CD. Risks associated with the “Lost Skeleton Returns” project include:
R/C #1 - Coordinating and securing each band members time for pre-production, recording and post production. Each member of the band has confirmed to Michale that they have cleared their calendar and are 100% committed to the project.
R/C #2 – Migrating Michale’s fan base onto the Kickstarter platform. Michale was successful in reaching and surpassing his first project goal on Kickstarter using both his Facebook presence (thousands of followers) as well as his own internally distributed newsletter. Given the popularity and heritage of his “Skele-Crow” horror punk voice, Michale feels confident that his fans will deliver in an even bigger way for “Lost Skeleton Returns”.
R/C #3 – The goal isn’t met and the CD isn’t produced. The expense for this project includes the production of the CD (in the world class Soundmine studio), production of the music video and distribution and fulfillment of all items. We see this Kickstarter project as both a pre-sell mechanism and a way to share the experience with fans to the level that would be impossible to promote with Kickstarter. Michale has included 75% more pledge levels and pledge options than he did on “Vagabond” including rare collectibles and opportunities for fans to be directly involved with the project.
R/C #4 – The whole Mayan calendar “end of the world” thing comes true. Well, even if it does “The Lost Skeleton” will survive….
