Before all the trouble started you were just an ordinary citizen, going to work, paying the bills, and trying to relax a little on the weekends. But now that’s all changed. An evil killer has risen to destroy your life, your friends, and reign with terror in the city you love. The police are powerless, but you’ve always known you had it in you and now its time to show it. You get to your lab, you gain super powers, develop your talents, buy your weapons, and call in all the favors you know and then some.
But as you are preparing for battle, the villain hears about you. He comes after you. How long can you repel his attacks? You’re not sure. Should you push your luck and keep gaining strength or should you finish him now? Only you can decide.
Not all will succeed, many will suffer a heroic defeat. Some will leave the fight to protect citizens that are in danger. And some will arrest the arch villain and save the city. Then, just when you’re done, just when all is safe, another fiend appears.
Arch villain is played over 5 rounds.
Each round brings a new, stronger villain. Some will have special resistance to your powers. You decide how long you will prepare and when you will fight. The longer you prepare, the stronger the villain gets and the more options he destroys. Die rolls can be altered by the amount of energy you have. Weapons become more powerful as you increase in agility, strength and mental power.
Super powers can alter the course of combat and gameplay. Die tokens can increase the number of combat dice you roll. The earliest player to arrest the villain gets more choices of points, powers, weapons, talents, or contacts. In the end, the player with the most points wins.
Risks and challenges
Unforeseen things can always happen to delay a project. I have delivered over 100% of past Kickstarter rewards. Since the components and packaging of this game are what I am used to, I expect no big surprises. If something does come up, I will keep you informed. I expect to deliver the high quality, fun and exciting games we have produced in the past!
