      To all of our backers:
I want to update everyone on shipping. We have 13 rewards left to ship. We are working very hard to fulfill all the rewards and most have been shipped. I will post the status to the remaining people individually.

Again, I cannot thank you enough for your support and apologize if you have not received your flops by now.

I agree with Melissa: any news on the ones that hadn't shipped the last time? I haven't received anything yet.

      Hello There!

I'm a little worried. I waited 4 weeks from the previous update, but I have not received the shoes. I'm wondering if mine are part of that last little bit needing to be shipped out.

Hey, any further news on that shipping?

      To all of our backers:
Happy to report that the Surf Expo was a success! The Sole Iniative and green zone drew a lot of attention and gained us a lot of great PR. Check out some pics on our FB page here:

Everyone's reward is currently in production... We will notify everyone as soon as they are ready to ship. We sincerely appreciate everyone's patience as gathering and preparing the tires is a labor intensive process. We plan to start shipping at the end of this month.

We are super stoked to get them on your feet and thank you for walking with us on this incredible journey!!

      Is there any news??

    8. Brian Noon Creator on September 3, 2012

The survey you receive for the $30 reward requires you to select a mens and womens style for your Upcycled flip flops. DOH!! It should only be the one style. Kickstarter does not allow me to fix the survey once it is sent.

My apologies!! Please respond to our email with the preferred style for your Upcycled flip flops after the survey.

Thank you so much for your generous support and because of you we reached our goal!!

Having a bit of a problem with the survey trying to have me answer all questions - choosing both a Women's and a Men's style of shoe. In my case, I'd want to select a Men's Toda Black in size 12 for my one pair reward, but the survey won't submit because all questions must be answered (and mine would have no answer for the ladies style).

Maybe you can combine the two "what style" questions into one? Or let me know what I'm doing wrong :)

Hey... great idea and really nice looking sandals. Good luck!

    13. Marco Janssen on August 11, 2012

By the way a shame the Tribu Upcycled Canebass aren't made in men sizes... >=)

Nice to see the people in Europe picking this up as well via you!

I was a bit sharp on the shipping part. If I had paid for flip flop here in the local shops, those brand new flip flops would have been made in China and were then shipped to Holland as well... SO now the rubber pile in the USA (??) is shrinking in stead of the new pile building up coming from CHina!!

    15. Brian Noon Creator on August 11, 2012

I totally agree and our goal is to create manufacturing in every country where we sell. After all, trashed rubber tires are an environmental problem in every country!

I plan to start making them in the states as soon as the beginning of next year and create jobs for the unemployed. I am also talking to a guy in France interested in setting up a shop.

I just need to build the demand.

Thanks so much for your support and have a great weekend!!

Great project! Wonder if it really helps the environment to ship car tires around the planet but they look great =)
