Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has contributed to our campaign! We hope that you enjoy Gray Duck Chai as much as we do and we look forward to many years of quality tea.

Who we are
At Gray Duck Chai we make a traditional masala chai in concentrate form, that we call our "Nine Spice Blend". It is crafted in small batches using only organic ingredients. Our spices are milled the day they are brewed and fresh ginger is grated into each batch. This process produces a chai that is robust and flavorful but only needs to be slightly sweetened in comparison to most chais on the market.
Where we are at now
Now, after many months of planning and all of our licensing done we are very excited to be able to offer our chai to coffee shops and other businesses in the Twin Cities area. The speed at which we are gaining accounts is faster than we could ever have hoped for. We are so excited about how well we are being received. We are currently working out of a shared commercial kitchen in St.Paul Minnesota. Using a bottle exchange program we are also able to cut down on waste, and build a company we feel benefits our community as well. We also intend to use a portion of our Kickstarter funds to help us implement a composting program for our used tea and spices.
Our next step...
Now after getting our initial launch out of the way we are starting work on our next step. It has been our goal from the start to have a seasonal blend available at all times along with our original Nine Spice Blend. After hours of recipe testing we have now come up with three fantastic options for our first seasonal flavor. They are Maple-Black Pepper, Burnt Sugar-Ginger, and Persimmon-Clove. We have left it to our Kickstarter friends to decide which recipe we are going to use this winter. With each donation level you will receive a vote for which flavor you would like us to go for. We figure what better way to decide than to hear what you think.
What your help is going towards:
1. Get glass jugs, and more spices for bottling our new seasonal blend.
2. Purchase spice mill that can grind large quantities of spices.
3. Get a jump start on a larger delivery vehicle.
4. Make the jump from stock pots to a much larger kettle for brewing.
5. Implement a composting system for our used spices and tea.
Thank you for spending the time to look through our kickstarter campaign.
