Photon Phenomenon is a group exhibition that broadly addresses the form and function of prisms. Prisms, by their nature, deal with the issues of light and the different wavelengths that make it up. We will talk about the implications of light refraction and the constituent parts making it up through our work. This exhibition brings attention to unnoticed physicality and optics that most are unaware of in our daily lives. We will address these ideas utilizing a full spectrum of media.

The opening will be Friday April, 26th in the Warehouse Space Gallery at 2100 W. 8th Street, Cincinnati, OH from 5-9. Wine and appetizers will be provided, the quality of which depend on how much you donate.
We are walking into a blank slate of a space and trying to create an amazing gallery location. Without denying the warehouse it’s industrial charms, we are going to mold it to best fit our needs. This will require the construction of walls, shades, and many other infrastructural objects. We will keep you posted as our ideas and the space transform together.
Risks and challenges
While we are a collaborative, we are working on each of our pieces individually and only really coming together in our addressing of our concept. This should prevent the potential entanglements that sometimes comes with group projects.
We do have a set schedule to keep us motivated and involved; however, because we will also be employing the skills of valued peers, we become more subject to their schedules as well. This could lead to some potential scheduling issues and temporary setbacks, but no matter what, the show will be opening April 26th.
