Nature is beautiful and everyone used to ride off road knows it’s not…flat. NIRI grips are designed to help absorbing painful vibrations you get from riding on rough surfaces, without affecting the feeling you get from the terrain you are on.
How it works
A personalized design is printed on demand, the additive manufacturing part is the real innovation of NIRI grips.
Overmolding every grip by hand, using rubber-like polyurethane, you will find all the grip you need in every situation. The grip core, 3D-printed, flexes and absorbs only the disturbing and potentially painful vibrations, you will be able to feel with precision all the useful feedback your wheels send you back. The core itself can be personalized on your will.
The plastic material we use to print the core of our grips can flex to maximum compression and regain his shape very quickly, ready to absorb a new impact with the same efficiency it had at first hit.
Unlike conventional grips the rubber-like part only has the function of granting a secure hold, without being too tick to absorb vibrations; another advantage is that NIRI grips are very light, circa 49 grams each!

We are NIRI
NIRI Performance started from a passion, two friends and an idea. We combined our professional knowledge to reduce a problem we both had, we founded this new start-up and made real the idea we had in mind.
Riccardo is a mechanical engineer; he worked for years in some of the world leading additive manufacturing Companies, following the development of this technology since he was completing his studies.
Andrea is a medical doctor with an interest in modern technology and its use in sports. Despite medicine being his first job he is not new to business venture, cooperating in another innovative project in food industry.
In our free time we both are riders, with a strong passion for off road.
From a backyard to a small operational headquarter we made our way to make our idea come true, we tested day by day on the field, doing what we like to do, following a dream. We built a testing machine, to keep progressing even when the weather was too bad to get out and test and to speed up the process… few minutes on this test bench could reproduce a day riding.
We collected and analyzed data and compared comparing many different products and prototypes until we felt we made it found the optimum absorbing behavior for different riding conditions (heavier or lighter people, riding level, terrain type). Now our first product was is ready, we are here to begin a new journey, to make it possible all we need is your help.
To keep shipment costs as low as possible in Canada, United States and Mexico the delivery will be at the UPS Access Points.
Unfortunately we cannot predict all the additional taxes that could be applied in every different countries; so all the customs or additional taxes on transports due to local legislations on imported goods shall be borne by backers.
Risks and challenges
We have reached a well functioning prototype and went trough many tests on test-bench and on field, with good results and consistency. Thanks to the experience in 3D printing we've been reducing many of the risks typical to a technical startup.
However, as with any newly manufactured product, it is possible for unexpected events to impact the actual production timeline.
