Preview of Linute in Action
timeline: see what friends want to do
worried about missing that awesome party your friends are attending tonight? forget about it. your timeline will show you what your friends are doing and let you join them. worry less, laugh more.
discover new friends
dating sites bring a lot of pressure and concentrate heavily on looks. the discover section helps you find people who enjoy the same activities as you, in your area code. you decide what happens next.
find a sports buddy
need an extra five people for that soccer game tomorrow? post it to Linute and make it public to make sure you don’t end up on the bleachers alone.
find your new favorite bar in a couple of thumb taps. select a category (i.e. “bar”) and a curated list of corresponding nearby establishments will magically appear. alright, it’s not magic… just a fun extra feature built by our developers.
limit to 24 hours
about 60% of activities are planned the same day and 30% are planned one day ahead. all activities on Linute are happening within 24 hours. spontaneity is key.
make sure your favorite friends see your post and RSVP "yes". Linute has a notification alert option so nobody misses out.
ever made a promise to be somewhere, get caught up and remember too late? yeah, us too. Linute will remind you 2 hours before an event starts to give you time to shower.
did you have to chase after and annoy Emily to send you photos from the night before? share photos right on the event and leave comments as you see fit. problem solved.
how would you use linute?

Risks and challenges
Once our Kickstarter is successfully funded, our work will have only just begun. But we are ready to roll.
There is always a chance that bug fixes will cause us to delay our release. Per Konstant InfoSolutions' suggestion we are going to be working them out in several builds as we work towards a usable version. This has maximized their efficiency in identifying user interface and overall functionality in past mobile app projects.
Apple is very strict when it comes to auditing apps, especially those which require native features of your iPhone. To counter this, we are relying on our developer’s experience in over 3,500 projects. Konstant screened our final wireframe for the same requirements as the app stores, allowing us to stay ahead of the game.
Great design and awesome ideas can only take you so far; we need early adopters like you to use our product in different environments and give us notes on what works and what does not.
We want to see how people with different wants and needs will create and attend events.
It is also to our advantage that we walked for commencement barely a year ago ourselves. We have a lot in common with the demographic we are trying to impress, so there is no disconnect.
Any successful product or service must be geared towards a small demographic. We will tailor our service for that specific group, and later expand its use to everyone.College students tend to be more outgoing, spontaneous and more exposed to different and new activities, which is why we selected them to be our target audience for Linute.
Starting at CUNY Baruch College, we will launch our app to several clubs and fraternities curating content and publish on-going activities nearby. Due to our initial presentations to these groups and by leveraging our team connections (attending leadership students), we are geared up, ready for these campaigns’ fast lanes.
In other words, our most valuable asset is the fact that we understand what our users want because we are part of the demographic.
We are excited to overcome these obstacles, 24 hours at a time.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
