A new webseries dedicated to forgotten gems of gaming that are still affordable and easy to find today.
The Backlog is a show all about promoting games that were overlooked during their time, and as a result are still affordable and easy to find these days. There are a lot of hidden treasures out there that need some love!
All money raised will go towards buying equipment like a camera, microphone, lighting and video capture equipment. I want this show to be as professional as possible and I need some help getting the equipment to support that goal! The money will NOT be going towards games or systems; everything I cover will be something I already own or something I will be purchasing myself.
I'm really hoping to get this project off the ground, I have ideas for about twenty episodes already, focusing on games from the 8- and 16-bit eras all the way up to small releases for modern consoles.
I feel that preservation of the video game medium is extremely important as the industry generally does a poor job making sure things are not lost to time. With this show I hope to do my part to make sure that great games are remembered and enjoyed.
My history is mainly with console games so that's all I have on the docket right now, but I'm definitely open to exploring PC games. They're a bit tougher to do since you can't just buy an old PC game from eBay and know it's going to work, but a very helpful person has pointed me to where I can find older PC games that work on modern systems.
I love video games period, regardless of what they play on, so I'm going to cover everything I can!
