Make it and I will buy it. Kickstart it and I will back it. This originally came up as a random Kickstarter recommendation that I backed because it looked interesting. And I'm glad I did. :-D

Sorry for the long radio silence, but RUNNERS plans have been pretty nebulous for the past few years as most of my time was spent on freelance work. But I am currently ramping up work on the series again, and this time planning for continuous work without any more significant hiatuses! Please see my most recent post in the Updates section for more info. Thanks everyone for your continued interest in RUNNERS. I am trying to make the future of the series worthy of your enthusiasm!

I'm going to echo Dablue. What's next? More Runners on the radar?

Hey Sean, still enjoying the book! Whats next, another kickstarter for your next project?

    5. SilverWasp on November 29, 2013

The 2 books are in my hands now :D
And they really look fantastic, thanks for all your trouble Sean.

Hi Silverwasp. Your rewards did ship a while ago, so hopefully you'll get them soon. I have a high degree of anxiety surrounding all the international orders and whether they will reach their intended recipients without hassle. It's especially concerning given how expensive the shipping is.

Still missing my comics, but I gladly wait patiently on the post worker to get to Denmark from USA :)

The box containing my rewards caught the eye of the customs officials here, meaning I had to pay a relatively hefty sum to take possession of said box. Quite some 'adhesive-tape-removal' time later I am finally able to open the box. The graphic novels are protected by folded up sheets of paper and look okay. The add-on graphic novel is extra protected by plastic. A cylinder is also enclosed, containing a print, that's that stretch goal accounted for. Character card was 'hidden' in the main (HC, also thanks to stretch-goal magic) graphic novel but I found it. I think that concludes our 'business', thanks!

Hi everyone! I just realized that I've been replying to everyone's comments personally instead of posting responses here. Yay! Now it looks like I've been ignoring everyone. :)

The current status of the books (as of Aug 9) is that the files are at the printer and I have already approved the proofs. I imagine I should be getting them in another week or so. I also just sent off the Sketchbook files so those should be printed and shipped to me by end of Aug.

As for changing address, you can go to the Runners project page. Under my Profile near the top, there is a Contact Me button that you can use to send me messages through Kickstarter. Just so you know, right before I start packing and shipping everything, I will be sending a message out to all (non-digital) backers. I know it's been a while since you all filled out surveys so if any of you have moved since then, that message will be your reminder to get any new address info to me.

Thanks everyone! Looking forward to fulfilling orders soon!

@Dablue: and yet, wherever I encountered BigD, he always outmatched my pledge, so that's a big spender. Besides, I go for quality, not quantity, so that means I have less projects to spend my money on and ergo can spend more per project. Then there's also the fact I don't have a girlfriend. ;-)

@Dablue: My biggest pledge (to date) has not exceeded 1.2k, and that was for a very special reason, and was for a video game. Whilst my wallet hasn't actually moaned one bit due to my KS-'habit', I might well be able to fork out that amount. However, the highest tier is only 1k and even that doesn't interest me at all. Then there's the fact I want my highest pledge to date to stay the highest, due to that special reason. My Kitty can resist any pearl white smile pointed at her, especially one coming from a dog. :-P

@Bob: You wont be dissapointed if you backed it.. AND.. only 1.3k left for it to have hardcover.. a wealthy cat like you can fork out that amount can you? *pearl white smile*

@Dablue: Mortifera is on my 'starred project's' list as there's something 'unnerving' and I was planning to look it over a bit more thorough the latest week-end before deciding to back it or not. Unfortunately, that plan kinda fell through due to laptop-troubles. Even if I decided to back it, it would be at a relatively low tier, so it wouldn't do that much in regards to that HC goal.

I stumbled on this a while back and I've had it starred/bookmarked for a while. Now I finally decided to back it.
I love the art and the little of the story I've looked at seems great but I won't read it all online because that'll ruin it when I get the books. :-P
I'm with Justin on getting a hardcover of the 1st book, but I can understand how it can't be feasible to print such a small run of it. But I'll keep my eyes and ears open for the option in the future. ;-)

@Bob: Backed Mortifera earlier today. Kickstarter is ruining me. xD

Going nice and steady! Hardcover in sight!

    40. Sean Wang 2-time creator on March 21, 2013

@Justin: Ha ha. I hear you about mismatched sets. I'm that way too. It would definitely be cool to have a HC of Vol 1: Bad Goods, but unfortunately, it won't be feasible this time around. The only reason I can do the Snow Job HC is because I am grouping it with the printing of the SC. In order to do Vol 1, I'd have to finance a whole new printing as a completely separate print job, which wouldn't be feasible. But maybe someday....

Ok so if we reach the hardcover goal will you offer book 1 in a hardcover as well if all 128+ of us ask for it? If so id offer a extra $10 bucks or so to offset the cost and I'm sure the rest would. Cant have a odd looking set with 1 hardcover and 1 softcover book ya know!!!!

@Sean: Its like with the movies. Id rather wait 10 years for a super cool sequel , then having 3 movies in a year that suck. (I am looking At you Saw)

    48. Sean Wang 2-time creator on March 18, 2013

Thanks Ed! Glad you were lucky enough to stumble upon the Kickstarter project. :) Thanks for the very kind and inspiring words. I often feel bad that it has taken me so long to get the new book done, but it's nice to realize that people are still very excited for new stories. I have to say I haven't been to MoCCA in a long time, but maybe I'll make a trip this year just to walk around. I do loves me some indie comics!
