Sports Related Technology for Educational eXercises, LLC, dba SRTEX, LLC, requires additional capital of $33,500, which will enable the corporation, to generate the prototype ($15,000), marketing & travel ($10,000), enhance website development ($3,000), reward cost ($2000) and paid Kickstarter fee & processing fees ($3,500). .

This Digital Playbook is a quiz-based game intended to help athletes learn the plays their team uses. In addition to the plays themselves, the various components of plays such as formations, shifts, motions, routes and blocking / gap assignments; along with  play adjustments based on opponent alignment, positioning, and/or assignments are included in the challenges presented to the user. The idea for the SRTEX app began late-2014 and the non-provisional patent has been issued.

This app has many benefits. The first thing it does is increase mental repetitions with the information in the playbook. Secondly; it is useful in decreasing preventable practice injuries while athletes gain valuable knowledge of how to play the game. The unique part of the app is that it is the first virtual playbook that can collect quantifiable data points, which is useful for coaches and players in all team sports. 

The app is recognized with video games but more importantly it is a learning tool to engage athletes with their playbooks using modern technology. Another benefit of the app, for the coaches, would be monitoring the player's retention of the information in the playbook; to precisely design physical practice to cover the things the team needs to work on. 

Another player benefit would be the ability to video chat teammates while going through game modules so players can communicate what they are seeing and/or thinking to give the mental rep a better chance of translating to on the field success. Players will also have the ability to watch live game or practice film; then be able to switch to a virtual mode that a player can use as if they were actually on the field to recreate the play as a whole or break the play down using various game modes to get a better understanding of the play.

Currently SRTEX, LLC has no major competitors in this market.

SWOT ANALYSIS (Strengths/Weaknesses/Opportunities/Threats):

Strengths

SRTEX, LLC will hold exclusive patents on its primary products as well as on several variations relating to this technology.

Weaknesses

SRTEX , LLC is limited in its manufacturing capacity. If product demand exceeds supply then SRTEX, LLC may not be able to meet demand with its current production capabilities. It may become necessary to expand quickly to meet demand or to provide manufacturing licenses to other
facilities. SRTEX, LLC also lacks high profile marketing capability necessary to obtain commitments from large Colleges and NFL Teams. Management must specifically focus on this issue and find a comprehensive solution.

Opportunities

The game will initially be aimed at college football teams, but if the approach proves effective there is the potential to expand the target audience to include high school football teams or even the NFL.

Threats

Competition will come in many direct and indirect forms including alternative gaming corporations. SRTEX, LLC is meeting this threat with new plans to participate in developing alternative gaming projects.
