Hello everyone! We are The Ghost Apparatus from Seattle, WA (members from Rishloo).
THE GHOST APPARATUS
We have spent the last year and a half writing this album and we are very close to hitting the studio. We will begin with tracking drums in August, and shortly after record the bass, guitar and vocals. We have been working with a brilliant engineer, who we feel has ability to expand upon our goals and provide us with the sonic landscape we strive for. The video above shows a small glimpse of what we did with simply 2 mics and GarageBand and hope you are as excited as we are to see how far we can take this first step.
Our new album will be called Neon Wardrums. We will be recording 10 full songs and hope to pull them all together and create a beautiful hour of music. Our song Dead Rope Machine is only the beginning. We are looking to fund our studio time, as well as the first stages of producing a physical product, printing, shipping, etc...
We are currently weighing our options of where we will track the drums and are down to three different studios local to Seattle. We will update this once we've settled on a place. Guitar, bass and vocals will be less of a challenge as they don't require the intense setup and room specifics that drums do and will be tracked locally. Our goal is to release by the end of the year. We have a very long, and busy road ahead of us but we are all looking forward to presenting this brand new experience to all of you.
We are asking for $6000 to get the album mixed, mastered, printed and packaged. The main bulk of expenses will pay for our engineer and studio fees. We also will be printing t-shirts and posters to match the new album art. Any money that is made over our goal will in turn be put back into more production costs along the way.
The third option will be up for viewing very shortly.
Risks and challenges
Raising enough money to pay for an entire album can be very difficult. We all work very hard, and then come home and work even harder. It is our goal to get into the studio ASAP, we have all of the moves set in place we simply just need the help funding them. Our goal is to have this album finished by the end of the year. We will continue to update you on our progress as we all know unexpected scenarios sometimes arise and conflict with predetermined outsets. A few challenges that come to mind are studio scheduling, time constraints, and acts of nature. These are challenges that we don't foresee stalling us but they are there none the less.
We believe our strength is our commitment to the art and our willingness to labor for the greater result and we thank you all for sticking with us through thick and thin.
We understand the chance in which we may not reach our goal How Kickstarter works is once you pledge a donation type, your money stays in your pockets up until the final goal is reached. If in the case we don't reach our goal, it will be sad but we greatly appreciate the support you showed!! We will then find another route in which we can record this album.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
