So I ordered the Nano Leaf a year ago and tonight it has stopped working. It is in an approved and standard lamp socket and has been tested on multiple lamps. I was wondering if this was supposed to happen and if there will be a fix? Can I possibly get a refund or a new product as I did not pay for a bulb that was supposed to last for multiple years but instead lasted one year and with limited activity. Please advise how this can be fixed as I am upset with my purchase.

Just wondering is there a replacement for having my light bulb that died less than 2 years? My was the first batch.
My bulb died too. I placed a ticket and received a new one within a few weeks!
Mine was from the first batch and had some problems with the LED manufactering process. Do you see a black spot on one of the LEDs?
Well after about 10 months of very minor usage (1-2 hours daily) my bulb just up and died. That is nowhere near the estimated 25-30 year lifespan this project promised. Meanwhile my super cheap fluorescent bulbs in the lamp next to my desk haven't burned out in about two years. Pretty disappointed in this product.
Hey guys. I want to say thank you. I've not gotten my original reward bulb, because of our german customs (wasn't the first time a kickstarter reward didn't make it through). After my request I was taken care of and now I have the latest CE certified bulb in my hands. This amount of post-campaign help/support is not usual and I thank you for this (e.g. I still haven't gotten my Pebble watch, because it did not go through the german customs).
The bulb is plugged in, we love it. I hope you will have a lot of success with these bulbs, I already recommended them to my family.

I backed this project at Feb 2013 and the bulb supposed to be shipped at May 2013. I still got nothing from them. What is happening here?
I no longer trust these guys, after waiting so very long to get my first bulb it had to be returned. No postage was paid for the return but a credit voucher for product was promised instead. That was over a year ago and no voucher has yet been sent. All it would take is an email but they are too busy asking money for a second generation bulb.

I was an original backer. Unfortunately all 3 of the nano's I received worked only a short while or not at all. Maybe i had a few in a bad run of manufacturing. Disappointed but hopeful for this project to improve.
Trying to figure out how and who to contact about a light that has failed. It has very few hour because it was shelved for awhile
Hey there. I picked my lightbulbs up from the post office today, and I tested out the weakest bulb I got (1200 lumes) and I'm impressed. It's a great product. Thanks a lot for the fast response on my previous comment, and kudos on the excellent design!

@TAG - no these can be on for hours and still only stay warm to the touch. It will never burn your hand. :)
@Chris M: so sorry that you received a faulty bulb. But I believe we have already reached out to you and shipped out your replacement. We have since then fixed the issues surrounding the bulbs. Sorry for letting you down the first time around. As we mentioned to you before in our support ticket, we hope you will give us a second chance. :)
Are these supposed to get warm? I put it in a floor lamp and after about 15 minutes or so it was warm. I took it off as I decided it was too bright for that particular spot, but I am concerned about its warmth, and if it will continue to increase in temperature.
Dead after 5 months....i'll even give you 6 months. It sure doesn't last decades. What a JOKE! if this wasn't a big claim on long life i wouldn't harp on it. But it is!
it's a very efficient bulb as it consumes 0 watts of power. I will give you that one!
your new line should also be - great at producing ewaste. bunch of hacks. it's LEDs on a circuit board. Seriously how complex of a design is this to not even last 1 year!!!!
Just a note to let you know I love my Nanoleaf bulb. Perfect for reading in my bedroom and is such an improvement over my last energy saving bulb. A bit pricey but worth every penny.
Am also interested in your new dimmable bulb.

I also thought you'd like to know. Yesterday, all our lights (incandescent, CFL's, Florescent tubes) started flickering. But NOT our NanoLight (NanoLeaf) bulbs. They stayed strong, without any evidence of flickering. Loved it!
Thought we were having a rare brown out ... until the power went out completely. Transformer in the area blew up. Luckily power was back on in 2 hours. No big deal.
Coolest and brightest bulb out there.. I received my bulbs a few months ago. I love it..! Great project.. MAHALO!!
Too expensive for an on-off dimmer.

Its been a while since I last responded the survey(2013/06/27), but wait, what happened to my NonoLight? I can't believe I can not get it up to this point. Can I still get it right? lol
Any plans for the bayonet style yet? None of the lights in my house have screw fittings.
Just a quick note for anybody else waiting for their bulb. I backed at the $45/September 2013 level. After chasing the NanoLeaf team after update #17 as requested in said update, they told me on the 21st April 2014 "your order was left out of the shipping queue due to a system glitch" and it'll be sent out "right away". I never got a shipping notification email, however the bulb has just arrived (2nd May 2014) in the UK! Hurrah! They do exist, they are shipping them out, just hang in there! Looking forward to fitting it later (I was waiting for the shipping notification before buying a bayonet to screw adapter).

Justin in Canada...I had that same message and I thought it was long but it did finally arrive...I am not sure if it was a month but it seemed like a very long time...if you still have not received it in another couple of weeks then maybe send an email to nano guys...which is what I did...they are good to respond if you send email in my experience...but also remember they are dealing with bigger and bigger...and they are new to this entire experience...so please give them some benefit and try to temper the "livid" :-) It is an amazing bulb...we love ours and will be ordering more...NANOLEAF folks...is Canada considered INTERNATIONAL for ordering more bulbs? Thanks!

@Matthew L - our 1800 lumen bulb should definitely be brighter than CFLs and 1600 Philips bulbs. If it looks dim, then it may be defective and we'd be happy to replace it for you. www.support.nanoleaf.me please create a support ticket there.
In terms of the warranty, we are working on a 10 year warranty, but right now the warranty is actually 1 year. Certification-wise, we are getting the ETL certification which is equivalent to an UL.
@greezer - I have messaged you on how to get a replacement for the bulb.

@troy I got my 1800 lumen bulb as well, I have no issue with the color temp on mine, I knew they were trying to split the difference between cool and warm. I do agree with you there is no way it is an 1800 lumen bulb. I compared it with a 4 year old 23watt no name compact fluorescent and a new Philips 1600 lumen LED bulb, both of which beat the Nanolight bulb by a noticeable amount. I am disappointed but glad I at least got something for my $100, I found where they were selling these bulbs on amazon and voted up the negative reviews to help keep other people from wasting their money. Also can you believe they are only giving a 30 day warranty? Shows a lot of confidence in the product's longevity.
@greezer You can tell now why the skipped trying to get them UL listed huh? Never would have passed.
allright, I got mine yesterday.
But, there's a huge security problem with my bulbs. I put mine in a lamp to try it, and as I wanted to get it out, the winding kept stuck in the lamp and I screwed it off from the NanoLight.
Luckily I got it out, but now I'm not that sure, if I will use them anywhere, if they fall apart when unscrewing..
Finally got the bulb, but the thing is huge. I can't fit it in any normal ceiling fixtures I have that have a glass cover, I have to go buy a new one.
Nothing here yet in Calgary, Alberta Canada.... starting to lose hope :-(
got my 1800lumen last week. Color temp looks a little too cool and brightness is a little lower than expected but glad to have helped make your dreams a reality :)
I didn't get the duplicate leaving China messages but it did take a while to ship. I also magically got a tracking number the day after I complained about the stuff with amazon. But by that timing if your package actually left on the 20th, then hopefully in a few days yours should arrive. I know there was some sort of strike out west having to do with shipping, I don't know if this slowed things down.
