Ryan Baxter: Reenactor is a film of historically inaccurate proportions.
Ryan Baxter: Reenactor is a film. It is a film of epic proportions requiring a grueling year of post-production work. But, here we are, at picture lock, peering over the edge of a financial cliff, and crossing our fingers for a proper sound design and marketing funds to properly market this great movie to film festivals. The objective for us on KICKSTARTER is to para-glide off that cliff and coast into your giving arms/loving arms of the film festival circuit. We can only do this by raising a substantial amount of finishing funds for this type of sound work and marketing.
That being said, here's the super-detailed plan of attack:
1. Raise 20,000 Dollars
2. Pay for sound design and marketing
3. Traverse the globe with this fantastic film
4. Praise all of you through our gift-giving program.
This is NOT a project waiting for a green-light. The film is not just in the can, it's at picture lock and is now color-corrected (see trailer) . All that remains is the most under-recognized/appreciated part of film-making: the sound design. We have already set very specific dates to begin sound work on the film, bid out work, and done a preliminary mix. To finalize things, and to do it properly, we aim to raise 20,000 dollars in the next 60 days. Again, we recognize that this is a chunk of change but costs to do Foley, ADR, final mix/master... etc. are enormous. Not to mention, if we can make it work, any funding left over will go directly into our marketing budget for the film's potential festival run.
Anyway, long story short, this is a great film, but to be amazing it's going to take more than looking at our sound as 'good enough.' With you (friends, family, and complete strangers), we can make this happen!
We look forward to seeing your involvement in the release of...
