With the great passion for 3D printing and having dealt with printers and filaments for a long time, we find it is both a love and hate relationship.
It’s an amazing technology but not so much a friendly user experience!
So we want to change that, improve starting from the small details, create a better experience for those who love it and of course, spread the passion!

The Furling Spectrum
Currently, it is common to have filaments come in large 1KG quantities, however, it is difficult for the average user to consume all that in a reasonable timeframe. Plus, with the need for a variety of colours, we often find that people bulk purchase filaments that they don’t need. This takes up space and the quality of filament degrades over time.
With this dissatisfaction in mind, we developed a high performing, cost-effective, environmentally friendly PLA material.
3D Printing should be layman friendly. Through utilising our in-house Filament production system, we aim to develop a full rainbow spectrum set of wallet-friendly 3D Printing PLA Filament that is also super easy to use!
The Furling Slider
Filament entanglement and unwinding have always been a huge issue for 3D printing. It is very common for the tip of the filament to get lost and end up in a tangled mess, this is an absolute nightmare and most likely you will have to unwind the entire roll.
Having been inspired by shuttles and tape dispensers (yes, we mean cello-tape dispensers), we came up with this innovative design!

Furling SLIDER keeps your spool of filament tangle-free and glides it smoothly out of the spool. It is also a great way to store the filaments and prevents it from unwinding!

The prices of PLA raw material are very open on the market. Most 3D printing filaments are extremely overpriced and Furling Filament is here to disrupt that.
Our production plant is located in Zhejiang, China, where the best suppliers for PLA materials are located. We are in contact with reputable and globally recognized producers, ensuring high PLA purity that meets Furling’s and the international standard.
PLA is environmentally friendly! Though many PLA-based filaments have ABS additives (fossil fuel based), Furling Filament is made from 100% pure natural maize.
Our PLA comes in high quality, very pure with solid colors and gives the final product a smooth finish.
No one likes to print in black and white all the time. You might think buying in bulk is cheaper and can be used for later, however, filaments degrade over time if not stored in the ideal condition. Through experience and user feedback, we pinpointed 320g to be the ideal quantity at one single colour. Not too much, neither too little, the perfect amount for your print!
