BalladGames started a project with one aim in mind - create a simple, addictive game that we, ourselves, as gamers, would like to play. However, after beginning the early development stage, it became apparent that we had stumbled upon something great.
The team consists of just 5 people; Simon Piere (designer+developer) & Kylie Sheets (artist), Paul Caton (Sound engineer), Rahaman Salir (programmer) & Brendan Green (programmer). Each member of the team has worked hard on the title and we believe there is many people who will enjoy the game.
However, we have to be realistic. We need funding so we can make the game as unique and interactive as possible whilst delivering a quality, bug-free experience for the player. Therefore we're asking YOU to help. As an incentive, we've set-up some pledges on the right hand side of the screen.
Just so you know where the funding is going, here is a sneak peek;
ManDrop's Budget - $20,000. (We would love to raise more if possible!)
50% - Game design*
30% - Sound**
10% - Marketing***
10% - Bug-testing****
*Game design is the art of making the game unique. We will use techniques to make our game stand out in the crowd.
**Self-explanatory. Can be quite expensive.
***Marketing is a difficult thing to do, but with social networking, and just 10% of the funding we receive, we will be working hard to advertise our product across a range of social networking platforms & websites to reach our target audience and demographic.
****We'll need to look at bugs so we can erase any serious issues before the game is due for release in January, 2013.
