Thank you so much for being patient during the production phase of the #SavePepe campaign. We have tons of updates we would like to share.
First and foremost we did extend the deadline to lock down surveys and addresses, but we simply cannot wait any longer as we would like to make our initial "Dec 2017" shipping deadline. We are going to lock down all responses Monday, December 2nd so we can ship to all those that completed the survey on time. We will get the stragglers at a later date once they complete this process. So if you have not completed your survey, want to get any add-ons, or make any address changes, do it right now please to avoid any delays.
As for production. Here are a few notes on all the items.
The Zine (Print and Digital)
The book is drawn, organized, and completed. But we still need to get it printed.
We have partnered with Bay Area's 1984 Printing to print the first 500 issues of the new #SavePepe zine. We have experienced some production delays but have been assured they can be completed by next week so we can potentially start shipping the week after. This is the only item we still need in hand that may cause a delay. I'll be transparent with updates if anything gets delayed further.
Once printed and in hand, Matt will sign and draw on any copies that pledged in those tiers.
And thanks to BackerKit, we will be able to deliver the digital zine this month as they have an extremely easy way to handle this.
Stickers and Pins!
Both are designed, manufactured, and in hand! They turned out great and can be seen above. The "Love" version is what will be included in the Kickstarter pledge level. And the other 2 are available via the BackerKit pre-order store which is still live if you wanted to add those variations to your order.
Super Limited T-Shirt
Since we only had 7 people in this tier, Matt decided to hand-draw each shirt with original artwork using washing machine safe markers. They are all completed and ready to ship once the zine is in hand. They look rad! (Pics soon)
Rare Pepe Drawings
These are all completed, boarded, bagged, and ready to ship. They also look rad as hell. (pics soon)
"Death of Pepe" Signed Comic
Matt has signed all of these and they are ready to ship.
All high-level original art tiers are bagged, boarded, in hand, and ready to ship.
So there you have it folks. In short, everything is good to go except the actual printed zine. That one is kind of important, so once they are in hand, we will ship all rewards.
As of now we are on track to ship in Dec. 2017 as projected. Of course, delays are still possible.
And we want to take a second to thank BACKERKIT for making the fulfillment process easier than we could have ever dreamed. Anyone crowdfunding on Kickstarter or Indiegogo MUST be using this amazing service to stay sane and keep all those thirsty backers happy. And while it's true we did raise an extra 3k through BackerKit, it was the customer service that really won the day. Having this kind of help to positively bookend your project is priceless.
Be sure to share the link below with those that missed out on the main Kickstarter campaign but still want to help #SavePepe.
Thanks, and be nice man.
