Production on our first batch of Ubis is in full swing and we wanted to give you a quick update on development and shipping of your Ubi.
We've now shipped out approximately 300 Ubis and have ramped up to 60 Ubis shipped per day. We're hoping to get this to up to 100 Ubis per day next week.
In the video below, we are testing Ubi and can't wait to get the Kickstarter Edition of the Ubi in to your hands to play with.
The Ubi is still in beta and we will need your feedback and support to help us develop Ubi and enhance this new way to interact with the digital world.
Software updates & development
In the coming weeks, we're planning to push down more updates to the Ubi.
We're also putting together a developer program that we'll launch over the next few weeks that should help you develop some interesting interactions with the Ubi. Stay tuned.
We are also excited to let you know that Ubi will connect to Ninja Sphere in 2014!
If you haven't checked out Ninja Sphere yet - it's worth a look. Ninja Sphere can track you and pets in different locations in your home and control devices through gestures. We think Ninja Sphere will make a great companion to Ubi. Ninja Sphere will also be able to push notifications to the Ubi to alert you to something unusual... or fun:
"Froto [your dog] has been in the kitchen for the past 5 minutes." "John's home." "Shall I turn off the lights upstairs?"
With the Ninja Sphere and Ubi APIs, there are a lot of excited things that can be built out of the two. Feel free to check out their Kickstarter campaign here.
Thanks for your continued support on working to make the computing experience more human.
