Forceblades – Professional Dueling Sabers.
We aimed at designing and making high end and affordable sabers – ones you can use for display, cosplay and fighting as well. We aimed not only for fine looks, but also durability, ergonomics and brightness were our priorities. Did we succeed? We dare say yes, with videos and photos made, so you can be so convinced, as we are.
We're Kicking It Forward! (http://kickingitforward.org)
What dueling means? It means, that with our sabers you can actually fight. Really. Like on the video above. Or even more.
All our sabers (including electronics) are modular, which means that you can replace any two parts with each other. Also, to modify your saber, you only need to buy parts you need, and your current ones will fit. This way you can have several different sabers with a fraction of a cost, as well as make your own saber, from thousands of possibilities.
Our sabers are designed and manufactured wholly in European Union.
At the moment, we have three fully functional sets: Sentinel, Mirash and Vanguard, as well as assortment of parts (different colours of LED modules, claws etc). These are finished, battle-tested, and ready for shipping. We have more sabers, items and options (like soundboard) in various states of development, from raw designs to field tests
With more designs coming along as you read this words (we’ll be posting updates), you will get literally thousands of possible combinations, to make a saber that suits your needs and taste.
We offer various level of pledges – from bare hilts for display only, via sabers with LED module, LED module and sound, to bundles consisting of sabers, belts, robes, cases etc.
For those seeking even more unique saber, we have on board Karolina Stefanska – artist, designer and craftswoman, specializing in intriguing designs. With this pledge, she will work with you to get you one of a kind saber. She will either develop your idea, or you can rely on her entirely. Please take note, that design is subject to technical requirements (we need to fit battery, LED module etc in it). What’s important, we can work not only with regular, but also precious materials (gold, silver, gems etc.). However, these are subject to separate charge, according to specific design and amount used. You can see examples of her non-saber designs below and visit her website.
Saber Tier One, consists of: hilt, blade plug, blade, LED module, battery&charger, belt clasp & covertec wheel;

In the process of building of our sabers we use the best of 3W LEDs available on the market – Cree XP-E2. Each module consists of 3 LEDs and triple focusing lens which allows the blade to be bright and lit consistently throughout the entire length. All modules are equipped with connectors that allow the user to exchange the parts quickly. We have chosen this solution, because on the contrary to regular RGB LEDs which require partial dimming in order to achieve desired color, this allows you to take full advantage of each LED.
We made our blades of durable 1 inch outside diameter polycarbonate tubes with 3mm thick walls. We started to work with the polycarbonate materials manufacturer who is willing to produce satin pipes, allowing even better lighting. For the blade tips we use special two-part epoxy glue for polycarbonate materials. To ensure maximum durability, our blade tips are additionally threaded.
Our sabers rely on 3400mAH capacity, Panasonic 18650 batteries equipped with a protection circuit, that prevents them from excessive discharge and overload. To ensure continuous use of your saber we decided to use external charger. The only action needed is to replace discharged battery with a charged one.
Our hilts are made of a high quality EN AW 2017A aluminium, also known as duraluminium. Commonly used in the production of automobile vehicles, aircrafts and various machines, it is known for its high durability. Until now, we have been producing saber hilts using conventional machinery, but one of our primary goals in this campaign is to switch over to CNC machines.
We are in the process of developing a sound module.
Main goals of the project principles:
- Low power consumption
- On/off sound
-Standard ‘idle’ sound
-Movement sound (up to 16 sounds)
-Hit sound (up to 16 sounds)
-Regulation of movement and hit detection sensitivity
-Ability to add your sounds using a MicroSD memory card.
Risks and challenges
We’re competent businessmen and proficient engineers. We have manufacturing set up and first sabers already made and tested. Several are already delivered to our first customers. Complement products (bracelets, belts and robes) are ready, too. With experience both in international trade and manufacturing, we can set realistic shipping dates, take into account potential delays to get you your rewards on time.
Why do we need your support? Answer is simple. To make sabers in competitive prices and quality we aim to, we need to buy some raw materials (like polycarbonate tubes, wraps, etc.) in bulk. Same with manufacturing – we aim at moving from regular machinery to CNC. Also, with sabers already on order, we can expand, hire and train staff, work on more designs and special sabers (like crossguards, tonfa-style sabers and curved hilts), so you will get more options soon.
