A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.
Get ready for an indoor garden that fits your lifestyle. Never has it been so easy to have fresh homegrown fruits and vegetables at your fingertips year-round.
Eden Garden revolutionizes the way food is grown indoors! The cutting-edge cup design allows you to plant any seeds from anywhere. You can grow lettuce, peppers, beans, tomatoes, cucumber and much more. This indoor garden allows you to grow fresh food year round, 40% more efficiently than soil. Giving you the farm-to-plate experience without leaving the kitchen.
Dress up any room in your home with a cutting-edge indoor garden that is not only affordable but makes you money.
Eden is a hydroponic indoor garden. The plants are grown directly in water without soil. This technology is being used by NASA in the International Space Station to grow their "space garden". This way of growing uses significantly less space and is up to 40% more efficient than growing in soil.
Step 1: Put the growth media in the cup.
Step 2: Place ANY seed you want into the cup.
Step 3: Add water and nutrients.
Step 4: Watch your garden come to life!
We have analyzed and tested various systems that are available on the market and combined the best of them so you can have a simple, affordable and effective indoor garden. There are many systems on the market, however, that are either very pricey, do not work, or you are stuck buying product from them forever. Our system fixes all of these problems.
Our cutting-edge planter removes the need to transplant or cover the seed. It makes it as simple as dropping a seed in and watching it grow.
Our lights are the ideal spectrum to grow a variety of foods reliably, allowing your plant to bud and grow until fruiting. A timer is also included to turn off and on automatically, and it gives ideal light cycles.
Eden will pay for itself in less than a year, as well as significantly decrease your grocery bills.
It is attractive and compact, so you can keep it on display anywhere in your home, even if you're short on room.
Most importantly, the Eden Garden gives you freedom! It works with any kind of nutrient you'd like to try and any type of seed. You can grow whatever YOU want, from wherever YOU choose. Use our lights, your own, or natural outdoor sunlight. We give you the tools to grow as simply and universally as possible. You are never "stuck" with our products, though they will work much better than others you purchase.
Growing at home gives you full control of your food. You know exactly what's in it! No more worrying about what pesticides or herbicides are on your food, or if it is GMO-free. You grow it all fresh and it will be at your fingertips, ready to harvest when you are. NO more wasting food. Pick what you need and the rest will continue growing.
Here are some examples of things we have grown in the Eden Garden as well as other things you can plant:
For an easy grow, try leafy greens!
Vines grow fine but can take over in time.
Flowers and Fruits require help to root.
Grow what you are going to eat: Remember what you plant will grow very well in hydroponic systems, this can lead to an abundance of certain foods. To avoid food waste, consider what you eat the most and plant accordingly.
Our family is dedicated to bringing fresh, healthy, and home-grown produce to yours. HOPE Innovations is a family start-up with a vision to help people live better, and make healthy choices.
Our journey to HOPE started with a simple idea: Why shouldn't everyone be able to grow their own fresh produce in our homes, year-round? We needed to create a product that was affordable, innovative, and most importantly, successful. Our Eden Garden is the end product of that idea: a simple, easy-to-use hydroponics system that makes growing your own food more convenient and affordable than shopping for produce at the grocery store.
HOPE is dedicated to making a difference worldwide. Our mission is to create sustainable change with our products and invest responsibly in a better future. We have partnered with an organization called "Child's Dream", through whom we will be able to help children in poorer regions learn and grow. Every Eden Garden Kit sold will go to providing one student all the learning materials and stationery needed for a year in South Asia's poorest regions.
The money raised will pay for the custom moulds needed to keep it attractive and affordable, as well as allow for future expansions without needing to change pieces out.
These moulds are large and very expensive. 100% of the money raised will go towards paying for the moulds. Another benefit of Kickstarter is to verify how many people are interested in the idea. Do we have to make thousands or stay small until more people know what we are about? We have a technology that is unique to our industry, however, the best part about HOPE innovations is that, unlike other companies, we are interested in making great products to better peoples lives. We are not just here to make money, we have 100% ownership so we can make sure we do not become another profit-only driven company. Everything about the Eden Garden confirms this belief. It does not force the customer to buy anything from us after it is purchased. It is universal with any other hydroponic product available. We truly want to create products that give power back to the customers to make chemical-free food a choice, not a privilege.
Risks and challenges
With a project this big, the biggest challenge is making sure we have everything we need to make the kit and can keep a supply chain simple and reliable. We are working with a great company that specializes in Kickstarter companies to do just this. Going forward we understand shipping a large piece is expensive and we are working on the most affordable way to ship. We are prepared for any changes that may need to be made before tooling and have allowed sufficient time to organize the supply chain as well as assemble the kits.
Other challenges are:
We have designed the system to use products that already exist, but there still may be a need for certification to sell in the US. This can take an undetermined amount of time.
Possible manufacturing design changes to adhere to code or create a more affordable system.
Growing a living organism is very difficult. Yield, growth rate, and size can often vary. We are working on always improving steps and processes to be as consistent as possible.
We cannot thank you enough for your help. We are going to make you a custom hand made (by us) self watering planter made from recycled bottles. You can assist in a green movement by reusing materials to make a treasure.
Get the compact sleek looking 2 tray system with lights because you were there to help us from the beginning and we want to thank you. This is the entire two tray system allowing you to plant 12 plants.
For helping us out right at the beginning we wanted to thank you with a huge deal on the complete 4 Tray system. This gives you everything you need to grow 24 plants in an attractive and affordable design.
