Above is merely a tease of further comic outrageousness...
Renegade vaudeville producer/performer Trudy Bauchery joins forces with director Charles J. Griffin to transmute this sexy bit of silliness from stage to screen. Inspired by the bygone days of slapstick comedy, when humor was witty and lechery only alluded to, this sketch draws on the physical traditions of Chaplin and Keaton as well as the antics of more modern variety show comedians such as Carol Burnett. In filming this short, we intend to imitate 70's style camera angles and aesthetics, particularly those of classic 70's porn before the advent of video tape. Though the film will be shot digitally, the final look will be grainy, colors meant to mimic those of old 16mm stock, with grit and wear added in post-production. To be clear, there will be no nudity or sexually explicit content in this production. Though the humor may be adult, it will always be tongue-in-cheek. The roughly 5-minute film will be released on Youtube, Vimeo, Funny or Die, entered in film festivals, and used to promote The Trudy Bauchery Variety Show from which it originated. Please join us in the creation of this ticklish caper!
The bulk of Kickstarter donations will go towards feeding volunteer cast and crew during shoots and the cost of vintage props and costumes. We already have an amazing canister vacuum cleaner of the era! Other expenses include any requisite supplies such as DVD's and cases, memory card, computer upgrades, dry erase markers, paper and printer ink, etc.

Risks and challenges
After successful funding, our challenge with this project is getting volunteer cast and crew with differing schedule demands in the same place at the same time long enough to complete shooting. Beyond that, it's a matter of editing and computer time, allowing enough space to properly stylize and package the film. Given my editing experience with previous projects, confident estimates are made on when supporters can expect to see rewards and a final cut. That being said, they are estimates, and out of respect for all involved, including backers, the film will only be released when it's as good as it can be.
