Table Of Contents Pending and Raygun Chronicles Launched

Hey all! Sorry for the long time between updates of late, but on the 15th, the story deadline finally arrived and now I'm about a week away from announcing the final table of contents. Just a couple rewrite requests left to review and I'll be announcing. It's actually come down to two slots and five really good stories, so I'm going to have to make hard choices, but I'm really excited about the authors and quality of the stories we're going to have here. And I can't wait to share it with you.

Meanwhile, some of you asked for me to let you know when my next anthology or Kickstarter launched.  It launched Monday here:

This is RAYGUN CHRONICLES: Space Opera For A New Age, an anthology of contemporary space opera with a classic feel. I have more headliners involved, including a couple of carry overs from Beyond The Sun, and we are seeking funding through March 7th. Prizes include a chance to win a trip to OryCon for the launch and meet myself and several writers, and, we plan to announce soon that all backers are entered in a drawing to win that trip, which includes domestic airfare, hotel, and con membership, as well as attendance at the launch where even more swag and signed copies will be available. I and the publishers plan to attend and hopefully a few headliners and writers.

In any case, thanks for your support and patience.

Kind regards,

Checking In

Hey all! Sorry it's been a while since the last update, but I've been busy working on some other deadlines and projects, including prepping a Kickstarter for another anthology to start January 14th as well as finishing a fantasy novel and more.

Meanwhile, stories are coming in. I have great stories from Nancy Kress and Mike Resnick. I also bought a story from Maurice Broaddus. I have stories in the queue from Cat Rambo, Anthony Cardno, Dana Bell and Jean Johnson and the rest should be coming in in a week, because that's our deadline, believe it or not.

Regardless, things are looking good. I am impressed with the quality so far and excited about the variety. And I look forward to tearing into finalizing a table of contents by month's end and polishing up the edits. After that I have to choose story order and clean up a manuscript file for Fairwood Press, long with writing introductions, bios, etc.

I expect to turn this in to Fairwood in March. He'll do his part, send galleys, and we'll have ARCS to go out in May for reviews. It's a long process but a fun one. And things should move quickly from this point.

I appreciate your patience in waiting. In the next few weeks, I'll also try and get some ebooks of my books out to those who won them and I'll be checking to see when art prizes get mailed out. The books will all go out together in July. But I'm hopeful we can mail those to backers a little ahead of the mid-month release date. We'll see how it goes.

Those who have prizes involving critiques, we'd love to get those rolling. I have one in already that I need to finish. The rest, please don't forget to take advantage.

In any case, a happy 2013 to all of you!. Thanks again for your support and patience!
