What is 5th Passenger?
5th Passenger is an independent, sci-fi, horror film with a strong female lead like Aliens and a cast full of diversity like Star Trek.
Set in 2151, after the Yellowstone Caldera volcano erupts throwing the Earth into chaos, 5th Passenger tells the story of a secretly pregnant female officer and her four man crew adrift in deep space in an escape pod after their transport ship explodes before reaching the new home planet. They fight amongst themselves as they run low on air, but must work together to find a vicious alien hiding aboard their craft before it kills them all.

Where will the money go?
We take our responsibilities to our backers as producers very seriously. You are the only reason that any of this is possible and we want to retain your trust in this project and us. Please contact us directly if you have any further questions.
Kickstarter Rewards and Fees
Kickstarter and Amazon take a percentage off the top (close to 10%) and then we have to set money (close to 10% as well) aside to fulfill the all of the rewards at the different level. This means at best we will only be receiving 80% of our goal to make this movie.
To be perfectly clear, the money we are raising here is to get us through the first phase of production. We have an incredible opportunity to make use of the sets at Space Command Studios (which drastically reduces our original budget while still enabling us to produce a high quality product) and shoot the bulk of the film (all the stuff that takes place on the escape pod which is about 75% of the film).
While the foundation of the sets is there at Space Command Studios, minor cosmetic changes will need to be made in order to make them work for our story.
New and unique costumes will need to be created for the unfortunate inhabitants of the escape pod.
Cast and Crew- $40,000
Their talent and expertise come at a price. In order to create a great product and have things run smoothly on set, certain jobs must be taken care of. And we need to make sure everyone is fed as well.
The Alien creature and Make-up FX- $10,000
We have an amazing alien creature design (that we're keeping under wraps) but we have to make sure it looks great. It is another specialty service where the raw materials alone don't come cheap.
We thank you so much for your support and involvement in 5th Passenger. This is going to be an awesome movie and we will all be proud to say "I helped make that film happen!"
Risks and challenges
There are always risks and challenges when making a film, let alone one with limited resources. There is always the possibility of actors dropping out, unforeseen costs, equipment trouble, etc. We do have a network of talented and professional associates who want to see this film succeed. We already have the camera and lenses, lighting equipment and aforementioned access to these amazing sets. Your generous donation will be spent as we have indicated here, in a very transparent fashion.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
