The Arcano NES Chiptune Synth II is a MIDI-controlled music synthesizer that emulates the classic sound of the Nintendo Entertainment System’s audio hardware. Simply connect a MIDI controller to play the classic Nintendo / Famicom video game theme songs live, or create your own original chiptunes.
The first production run of the Arcano MIDI NES Chiptune Synth 2 was funded through a Kickstarter campaign in 2016. With your help, we can raise the funds required for a second Kickstarter production run.
The Arcano NES Chiptune Synth II is a product created in collaboration with the Kickstarter community. Its design is the result of lessons learned from previous projects launched on Kickstarter. In 2015, the original Arcano MIDI NES Chiptune Synthesizer Kickstarter project was launched. The community of Kickstarter backers provided feedback and suggestions for hardware and software improvements. The feedback and suggestions from backers were incorporated into other successful Kickstarter projects like the Obscura 8-bit Chiptune Synthesizer, the Obscura 8-bit Chiptune Synth 2, the Arcano MIDI Controller Board, and the Arcano MIDI NES Chiptune Synth 2.

Risks and challenges
Since 2015, Arcano Systems LLC has launched and fulfilled 5 Kickstarter projects: 4 synthesizers and 1 MIDI controller. The greatest challenge to shipping rewards by the target date is the availability of electronic components; however, the Arcano NES Chiptune Synth II’s low-parts-count design and use of common electronic components available from multiple suppliers help to mitigate the risk of component shortages.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
