About this project
GOAL: To keep bringing you the best kids' entertainment in the world. We're re-launching with a new pilot episode!
We've been making underground kids' show Pancake Mountain with lots of volunteer support since 2003 and we want to continue to bring you great music, bands, cartoons, interviews and, of course, our host Rufus Leaking. We have been on hiatus for the last couple years because we could no longer afford to self-fund the show. We've spent that time planning our comeback.
Fortunately, we found JJ Abrams (Lost, Alias) and Bad Robot, a production company that believes in the show and wants to work with us. They've offered studio space, equipment, and a portion of the money we need to make the new pilot episode, but we still need more. We need sets, costumes, crew, post-production services-- everything to complete a new episode.
We want to share our show with a wider audience and figured the best way to do that is to make a pilot to shop to networks. We have the creative energy, great talent and producers with tons of experience lined up for the show; the only thing missing is sponsorship.
HOW CAN I HELP? Donate. Re-tweet. Blog. Spread the word.
We have made the show for the last 7 years with volunteer help, free venues, and the enthusiasm of our fans and our talented musical guests. It's been awesome, but we want to make this project sustainable. We are committed to staying true to our DIY roots as we take on this new venture.
Whether you're a longtime fan or just love great music, please donate. Every dollar you give is helping make the show as great as we've always dreamed of but never had the funds to make. If you can't donate, please help us spread the word. We can't do this on our own.
We'll keep you up to date on our progress via "project updates" and our blog.
Thank you for your support!
