The List of People Who Need to Contact Me Now

We've arrived, as I think we all knew we must, at the public shaming portion of the Kickstarter drive.

There are still a few dozen people who have not turned in surveys for things they bought. Without a survey, we can't send you anything because we don't have your address. I've tried several times in these updates to exhort people who haven't filled out surveys to do so, and all of these people have been directly emailed at least twice by my assistant. Since none of that has worked and I really don't want anyone to not get their order, here is a list of the 40 people who need to contact me right now in order to get their stuff (listed alphabetically so as not to reveal their pledge level):

  • Aimee Bason
  • Andrea StormRage Dattebayo
  • Andy Williams
  • Anuan
  • Belgarim
  • Christopher Lee Baca
  • cyberpict
  • Dante
  • David Parker
  • Douglas Taylor
  • Esteban Izaguirre
  • Evilkritter
  • Gardiner Cerul
  • George Spier
  • Imogen
  • James Seibert
  • Jason Stoddard
  • Just a Username
  • Jyrki Karhunen
  • Kevin Jackey
  • Matthew Brown
  • MDH
  • Michael Evans
  • Michael Kaplan
  • Michael Neufeld
  • Michaelius
  • monkeyboyinc
  • mysticsmeg
  • OttoMaxFolke
  • Paul Graham
  • PXRm0to
  • Richard Morrow
  • Roger Barkley
  • Silas Byrne
  • storm
  • Theodore J Snider
  • Tudor Carsten
  • Wison Ruan
  • Zach Sevcik
  • Zachary Mcconnell
If you are on this list, you must contact me by December 31st in order to claim your reward. Otherwise, I'm going to classify your payment as a general donation to the pledge drive and you won't get anything. Well, the digital rewards, but not the physical products that you paid for. I don't want to do that, though, so contact me! And if you recognize the name (or screen name) of someone on that list, point at them and look disappointed until they email me. You can contact me through the Kickstarter message system or via regular email at Use the subject line "I'm on the List," if you can and provide your name and shipping address (and any extras you may have added on, like a patch).

The list does not include anyone who just ordered the $10 minimum pledge magnet package; since so many people declined to get the physical magnet, I'm just assuming that the additional 34 people from that category that haven't yet responded are also passing on the magnet. They can still contact me to claim it before the 31st, if they want, but I'm not going to list their names publicly. It also doesn't include a handful of people with really unique account names like "Arthur" or "Tim" because I didn't think that it would be helpful for every Arthur or Tim to contact me just in case. But if that's the kind of screen name you have and you didn't fill out a survey yet, contact me!

That December 31st deadline doesn't apply to anyone who filled out a survey, even if circumstances have resulted in you not getting your package yet. If you gave us your address, we'll get you your stuff. We've been making a lot of progress on fixing incorrect or missing orders, so here's hoping that everyone gets what they ordered by the end of the year. Unless it needs my thumb.

As always, thanks for your infinite patience—in this case, for reading through this update when it doesn't apply to 99.74% of you.

P.S. I posted a thumb report on the main website.
P.P.S. I sent out a backer-only update about the leftover swag being on sale at Ookoodook like five minutes ago.

    1. Creator Evilkritter on May 4, 2013

Then I just saw this post because I forgot to check kickstarter :P

Well, at least the books are still in stock at Ookoodook. Again, sorry about the non-response Rich. I'm still glad to have contributed with a general donation.

    2. Creator Júlio Monteiro on December 28, 2012

Yay, any change Paul Graham is this Paul Graham: ? :-)

    3. Creator Brett Levin on December 20, 2012

I don't know if it's already been mentioned or not, but if there are still people who haven't claimed the stuff by the deadline, why not donate the stuff to a favorite local game/comic store or a charity?

    4. Creator BillD4 on December 3, 2012

I was just thinking... I would almost pay extra for a left-handed, painkiller-influenced signature in my "Patience for a signed book." Because they is probably a lot of signed "Dungeon Crawlin' Fools" out there, but only a very limited number would be signed with his left hand.

That really didn't come across as light-hearted and sympathetic as I meant. Darn.

    5. Creator Jonathan Redford on December 2, 2012

I received my stuff a while ago. It is awesome. It is good to see that your thumb is getting better and I hope that the process continues at a steady pace.

    6. Creator Reece Watkins on November 29, 2012

YAY!! Got my shipping confirmation today too!!! Thanks, Rich (and staff!)

    7. Creator Christian Steudtner on November 29, 2012

Yeah! I got my shipping confirmation today :D :D :D [only odd thing, I got two mails with different tracking numbers, but my pledge only has one book + swag] now I can start F5ing my Mailbox :D :D :D

    8. Creator stuart boshier on November 29, 2012

Email sent to lost-package as mentioned in prior update. Apologies for moaning I'll wait for reply now.

    9. Creator stuart boshier on November 29, 2012

I also sent email regarding missing shipment, I was told it would be shipped again and that was months ago.

    10. Creator Christian Steudtner on November 27, 2012

Nope, I am also missing my shippment (to Germany). After the Update adressing missing shipments I wrote an Email an recieved the answer that it should ship the week after that This answer is the last information I got regarding my shippment and it was two weeks ago [I'm not exactly sure whether I should send another Email, but I think I'm going to wait a bit more]

    11. Creator stuart boshier on November 27, 2012

Are there any other pledges in the United Kingdom who are still waiting for the delivery.
Original shipment never arrived and whilst I was told a new package was being sent I've never received anything.
My pledge level is only the $15 and my survey response is all correct.
Am I just unlucky or are other European backers having similar problems?

    12. Creator Dag-Erling Smørgrav on November 27, 2012

Tuomas, Rich made a mistake: the correct number is 0.997324776056714... which rounds to 99.73%, not 99.74%. With only four significant digits, we get 0.27% of 14952 = 40.37 people, which is off by 1%. With two more significant digits (99.7325%), we get 0.2675% of 14952 = 39.9965 people, which is only off by 0.01%.

    13. Creator Tuomas L on November 26, 2012

If I may, I'd like to take this opportunity to express my delight over the fact that you took the trouble to calculate the exact percentage of people to whom this message does *not* apply.

But... If it does not apply to 99.74%, then does apply to 0.26%. And 0.26% out of 14952 is 38.8752. Oh dear, 1.1248 people are lost in rounded decimals somewhere.

    14. Creator William on November 26, 2012

BTW, if anyone needs to verify they sent a survey, and/or what they put into it:
Look on the right and find your pledge level. It will be highlighted in GREEN. Right under it it will say something like "Survey sent: 02/27/12 • Your response"
You can click on "Your Response" to see what you put down.

    15. Creator Reece Watkins on November 26, 2012

Korbl: I never received a shipment notification, so there's nothing for the postal service to track, unfortunately.

    16. Creator Ninevah on November 26, 2012

Andy Williams, the singer, passed away in September. He was 84, but I'm sure he was a big fan of OotS. I mean, who ISN'T???

Rumor has it he provided consulting on the design of the original AD&D 1st edition bard back in the '70s. That's why it had such heavy entry requirements.

    17. Creator Mic_128 on November 26, 2012

Hoping postage isn't too much as I'd love another set of the stickers.

    18. Creator Korbl Klimecki on November 26, 2012

To the people on the list: If you actually did intend for your contribution to be a full general donation, it would be polite to tell Rich that, so that he doesn't feel bad about assuming it later.

Reece: Have you contacted the post about it?

    19. Creator eyliena on November 26, 2012

I read this whole update even though it didn't apply to me.
I guess I just like reading what you write :P

    20. Creator Reece Watkins on November 26, 2012

Not on the list, still no package after having been told it should ship the week of November 11. No reply to follow up email. Very disappointed. :-(

    21. Creator Jamie Nhieu on November 26, 2012

Looks good now. Also, glad to hear about your afflicted appendage :o. Happy healing!

    22. Creator Jamie Nhieu on November 26, 2012

Ha ha, public shaming. Awesome. You just made my morning, Rich.

    23. Creator theangelJean on November 26, 2012

*pssst* Rich, the thumb report on the main page seems to have been cut off in the middle. After "I posted it over on the Kickstarter site as an " immediately afterwards is the date heading of the last news about the Roy miniatures from Morland, without even a line break. Hopefully any Kickstarter backers who see it will head here to see what it's about anyway, just thought I'd let you know.
