Rob, you're a prince. Thanks for all you do. I'm still loving being a part of this.

Please ignore my last comment... I just saw the link. Sorry.

    3. Jason Marin on

Apparently emails from Kickstarter updates to my registered email have been bouncing, so I never received the link for this one. Is there any way for me to get it resent?

Well that is most of the stories now delivered, I had thought that the promised date was around now but, when the main OOTS story-line came back to life, I thought it was worth checking for a new post here.

I'd be happy to wait for any more sign of progress on any story if I saw progress on finishing the individual crayon drawings, starting the group ones and delivering the mystery box. And when development does start on the next story, then the last backer choice one would be my preferred option. Basically my priority is meeting all the non-patience extras. The people who joined up and didn't pay for extras beyond books etc have had all their solid loot and as many pages of story as were promised even if it is fewer stories, I think they can accept that they're lower priority than the people who paid for special extras. And, as someone who paid for a patience drawing, I feel that I am behind not only the non-patience drawings but also the mystery box and the last backer story person.

There's best part of a year before next northern winter is over, so delivering the last Monster Minis package at an appropriate time looks feasible and the last two wallpapers are relatively small things if Rich wants to deliver a new goody with the coming summer and autumn updates..

At least Rich now has another future money-maker to release next year to non-backers in digital form. There must also be enough material for a new book between the four stories so far, the strips from the now defunct old-time gaming zine and possibly re-packaging some of SSDT. Scar alone is longer than the first extra book.

Anyway, thanks Rich for persevering with all this.I happy to be just keeping an eye on the main story-line for now.

It still baffles me how you can make stickfigures come to life in such dramatic and unexpected ways. The story had it all, a good deal of character development, but also a lot of fun. And it makes me want to re-read the entire series yet again to see how this knew knowledge about the hobgoblins fits in the world you created.

This was so awesome. O'Chull is the best, and I can't wait for him to show up again.

Can I just say how amazing this story was? I cannot emphasize enough how amazing of a writer you are. The Belkar and Haleo/Julelan ones were funny, but this one and the Therkla one just hit all the right emotional notes. There were so many references to old stories and many characters I did not expect to see got origins. But more than that, there was just an incredible emotional core to this story that just made the whole read wonderful. Thank you again for sharing these incredible characters and their journeys with us.

      Mr. Burlew,

I just finished reading and just wanted to say to you that I find no stories as moving as stories like this, where a principled hero willingly faces hardship and opposes whoever he needs to in order to stick to his principles. We had seen hints of O-Chul being this way before in his interactions with the Monster in the Darkness, but this story may have just made O-Chul my favorite character. Thank you for this story, and I hope to see more of O-Chul and the Order of the Stick soon.

Rich, please seriously consider posting a poll asking people if they are happy to just call it done.

I was seriously happy to receive the book reprints and the bonus material already done was (is) more than enough. I'm very satisfied, please give yourself a break and call the kick-starter finished.

Thanks so much for all your amazing work - the whole family loves it.

      Beautiful !

Rich, I am always amazed by how much depth you give to each character, if given the time to do so.

Getting to know where O'Chul comes from, and what made him the stoic badass with a fair & kind heart we all love was a real treat.

His outlook on life and conflict is something the real world could take a lesson from.

This story made me laugh a little, think quite a bit, and feel a whole lot.

      Thank you for that.

You are a master of your craft with epic levels in story telling !

Mentioned on the forums, but this IS the Mirror Image of Start of Darkness in just about every way.

About the only extremely minor negative note I have is that some of the Miko stuff was a BIT too on the nose.

Then again, it was so deliciously on the nose, that I can forgive a little self-indulgence there.

An easy 10 out of 10. Only in time will I be able to say which is better. This or SoD.
