You Know, For Kids.
The first new line on the (resized) chart is both the next goal and the next reward, but I think it's going to be worth it. It's something I've been wanting to do since 2006 but have been unable to make the numbers work—until now. I give you:
The Order of the Stick Coloring Book! Join Elan and Thog as they color their way through 32 pages of fun Order of the Stick pictures and activities! The perfect way to get the kids in your life interested in fantasy adventure games, this new coloring book will include plenty of humor for the adult reader as well (all of it still safe for children, of course). Who knows, maybe it will inspire the next great crayon artist of our time!
So, if we reach the mauve line of $451,880, then we'll print the coloring book and give one copy free to everyone who is getting a book or the art print (or anything else we add later that needs a larger envelope, same as for the stickers). We'll also add packages to allow you to order more than one copy of the coloring book. And if you hate fun for some reason, there will be a way to "opt out" of getting one when you provide your shipping information after the end of the pledge drive.
The other two lines after that represent the amount we'll need to be the 6th most funded Kickstarter project in history (remember that there's also an active drive that has us beat by a fair margin), and the ever-mysterious Mystery Prize #4. That should take us to a cool half a million dollars of OOTS products being created and shipped, which defies all logic and common sense, but there you have it. Here's the chart:
I won't be updating over the weekend at all, even if we pass the lines; I have family obligations that will limit my time at my desk. But tune in Monday for the reveal of the cover art for the coloring book, and whatever else I cook up between now and then. Thanks for another crazy week and I'll see you all back here after the sporting event of your choice on Sunday, whatever that may be. I'm partial to ostrich racing, myself.
