Seven hours in and all of us here at Pebble HQ are absolutely stunned by the enthusiasm you've had for Pebble Time. We had hoped you'd like what we've been working on...but you never know for sure until you launch!  The good news is that you've made it crystal clear. And we thank you immensely for this.

You've shown your support on Kickstarter, but also all over the web:

One of the greatest Pebble fans, Paul Rode, posted a really exciting update as well, announcing that watchface-generator.de will soon support Pebble Time and color watchfaces!

Overall, we're pumped. We've got a fantastic month of news lined up for you, lots of cool surprises about Pebble Time and exciting updates. Stay tuned!

Good news for those who haven't backed yet: we've decided to increase the number of Pebble Time watches available to start shipping in May, after close consultation with our manufacturing team. We're going to change the May $179 reward tier to 30,000 units. After that runs out, we'll be opening up a new reward tier with a June ship date.

Quite simply, we could not have done it without your support. We value each and every single tweet, Facebook post and Instagram shot about Pebble Time. Keep it up!

Other news: the team and I will be hosting a Reddit Ask Me Anything tomorrow, Wednesday Feb 25 at 12 noon PST. Looking forward to answering all the burning questions you've got about Pebble Time!

Finally, I'll leave you with this:

Gentile Pebble Team, complimenti per il nuovo Pebbe Time. Non sono stato veloce come tanti fortunati "early-bird", comunque sono un sostenitore del Pebble Time, per la seconda volta! Amo le cose semplici. Spero di essere più fortunato con questa richiesta. Posso dare un mio consiglio? Nel prossimo software dell'orologio potete considerare la possibilità di inserire, per chi come me non vede molto bene da vicino, la possibilità di:
      1. far vibrare il pebble a fine corsa (settings);
      2. inserire (Shut Down) in ultima posizione, al posto di (Factory Reset) e far vibrare il pebble a fine corsa (Shut Down)!
      Perchè vi chiederete voi?
      Semplice.
Posso spegnere il Pebble prima di andare a dormire senza l'uso degli occhiali ma sopra tutto, al buio!
      Cool, isn't it?
      Ciao ;-)

Not at all surprised by this start. As a backer of the original, and an early buyer of the Steel, it was a no-brainer to be an early-bird on this latest project. Heck, I even paused the video, backed the project, and then came back to hear the story. I didn't pay attention to the delivery time, and only saw the briefest indication of the interface, before jumping in. I've been impressed by you guys from day one (three years ago). I know you guys have learned a lot, and it clearly shows in the approach you've taken this time around.

You're a proven winner when it comes to commitment to your customers and quality in your product. I'm really looking forward to getting the new Pebble Time. I hope my Steel won't get too lonely not being my daily driver, but I'll make sure it gets some love.

    7. Trần Đình Tuyển on

@Eric + team : increase Pebble Time's memory plzzz , it's can support more Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese ...etc...

I second the questions about the API/SDK. I'm already very curious/worried about how it might impact my watchface. Can't wait to see the new stuff as a dev.

      Second time backer here!
I've not only worn my original Pebble since the day I got it, but also experienced how responsive you can be when something goes wrong.

What I see here is exactly the right way to make Pebble even better. Better yet, the fact that older Pebbles will receive timeline-feature at some point is reason enough to support your company in my opinion.

      Thanks!

    10. David Landais on

Just proud to participate in this success :)

@max sablosky...not sure that is the 'red watch'..looks like the grey one with a red band? I'm going grey and super pumped! Wish I could have made the early round to say I was one of the first! But then again..I'm sure this will also have a June delivery date round and then for one month I can brag that I was part of the May round. (Am I really this competitive???---pebble time watches for everyone!!!)

    16. Ben on

If we backed the original, and we order the 2 pack, do we know if both watches get the special engraving?

I was part of the original backers and have been happy with my pebble's performance. Time changes automatically when moving to a different time zone (didn't when initially issued). Fast forward to pebble time. I just hope the watch face will be same size.

Great job on social media. I backed this after seeing someone posting on FB.
I had been contemplating getting a pebble watch and I kept seeing ads about all the deals.
Glad I was in time for the EB.
The color e-ink screen and the 7 day battery life are the deal breakers.

Thanks for that last video! Mark me down for a red pebble timeline!

    22. Chris Lapaz on

surprised not more people are backing the tier with 2 pebbles. find a friend and you'll only be paying $5 more than the early bird tier since shipping was only $10 for 2 pebbles ;-)

I am so excited for this new watch. I loved my old Pebble watch, but at the time I had a Windows Phone, so I really couldn't use it (early 2014). I really wish I had held on to it, but now that the Pebble Time is coming out, I can't wait! This watch looks amazing, and I really hope it works well. I was considering getting an Android Wear watch (as I'm an Android dev), but I just couldn't find one that had everything I was looking for. The only thing I wish the Pebble Time had was a heart rate tracker. It would be perfect then!

So excited for you and the amazing success of this launch. And I'm excited for me because I managed to pledge and get one. Couldn't decide on a color til I saw the red on on your wrist in this update. That seals it for me. Red!
Can't wait to get it on my wrist. :-)

    25. Erin Panto on

I am so excited for you, Pebble!

I fell in love with your watch the moment I saw friend's original Kickstarter Edition Pebble (at Time Gate back in 2014). I bought the red one at a local store the very next day.

Since its announcement, I've been debating whether not to get the Apple Watch when it comes out, but I've been wanting to be brand loyal to you guys, and $349 just seems like a lot, especially since learning that it isn't waterproof. SO!!! I can't wait to get my very own Pebble Time!!! Thank you!!!

Perfect timing! time to upgrade and give a younger family member my OG pepple :D

    28. Sean Wall on

Like others, I was considering the Apple Watch as a replacement for my Kickstarter Pebble. However I thought the Apple Watch was trying to be an iPhone for my wrist (i.e. - WAY too complicated), and the display is not on all the time, like the e-paper display. Then I saw the video for Pebble Time and that was all it took. I backed it just as fast as my little fingers could type. Thanks Pebble for what looks to be another awesome Pebble!

    29. Chad Hadsell on

Fingers crossed that they announce Pebble Time *Steel* in time for me to upgrade my pledge...

Looks Great I've ordered mine... but just one thing, would love to have see BLACK as one of the first 3 colors like the original did looks more professional than the tacky grey and goes with the black strap. Please make a black one before May.

    31. Jon S on

That bump to 30k units at $179 means May shipments alone may raise more $ than the entire first campaign ($11.85M vs $10.266M).

7600 June-delivery units would make this the highest earning campaign of all time.

Got a Pebble Steel and is rock solid with a very good battery life.
It took me around 2-3 minutes to decide to back the new Pebble Time. I hope it will be at least as good as my Steel in terms of battery life and material quality

I was thinking I was going to have to get an Apple Watch...mostly because I love my Pebble...and I thought it would be an improvement... but today my AWatch dreams were derailed and replaced by a new Pebble!! Yippeee!

I was about to order a Steel a few days ago, and saw the countdown timer, so waited. For me a metal strap/band would be awesome, I have trouble with plastic/resin ones, even if I have to pay a few dollars more.

Please can you provide the full specs. for this. Screen size and resolution, actual waterproof ability, memory and processor specs, etc.

Also, I note the charging port is at the back, will this be corroded by sweat?

    45. Daniel Mazoch on

Get wrist models. Lol. Other than that I can't believe the display looks that good with motion.
