Have a question?
Fitbit Ionic is not e-paper display, is NOT always-on screen. OMG
@ KJ Phillips - Looks like you forgot to lock the back door!!!! ;) Dayam squatters (@Tzfardaya )
PEBBLE IS OFFICIALLY DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, it will be on 30th June 2018!
Fitbit is ending ALL support (do we even really care???)
So say goodbye to all these features:
Voice recognition features
SMS and email replies
Timeline pins from third-party apps (Calendar pins will keep working)
CloudPebble development tool
Now BEGONE fellow PEBBLARS - go find your alternative watches and quit coming in here - its full of squatters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the best smartwatch period. I've try so many others and they are such a disappoint. Pebble needs to come back to life.
Well I came back to check if the locks on the gate where still in place. You damn kids are coming in here with girls and causing all sorts of trouble. Let me find my master key and lock this place up. Damn and you kids left the lights on. You know how much the electricity bill is going to be? (turn off lights and looks back with a tear in his eyes.) I am going to miss each one of you. The Pebble was a great project but now I am backing crazy things like Kingdom Death Monster. (Locks the gate and walks away on his cane into the sunset of Kickstarter)
*kicks the door open again to let some light in since Dino cut the power*
Oi, I'm squatting here.
@JJ - DAYAM boy, you still lurking in here?!!!!! It's time to lock up shop, FOREVER! *turns off lights (again), shuts and locks the door and boards the place up*.
To this day I still use my Pebble time. And I will continue to use it until it physically does not work anymore. RIP Pebble. You will be missed a lot by many people. :(
You might be well off to look up the legal definition of the term, fraud. You might learn something. The time2 project was not an instance of fraud, they had every intention of producing the product, but the company collapsed. Expecting kickstarter to step in in that situation would be like expecting the NYSE to refund shareholders when IBM collapses. Kickstarter just provides the forum to connect project developers with funding.
Every time you back a Kickstarter project, you are taking a risk. There are no guarantees that any project will be successfully produced. Projects fail, projects run late.
Kickstarter is not amazon where you are buying a ready made, off the shelf product. You are investing in the development of a new product.
Also... This is not the Pebble time 2 project, this project successfully shipped. Please post in the right section.
Is there any chance that Kickstarter get our money back? IT received its share of commission for every transaction and should really be responsible for keeping Pebble to its word - no Time 2 means no deal! What is the point of going through a middleman like Kickstarter if there is no protection against this (type of fradulant transactions)?
Oi, I was napping here. *turns the lights back on*
Just checking to see if the lights are off. Damn you guys just don't listen. (Reaches in and turns off the lights)
Well, this is the wrong project to post in... This is not the project they're refunding. Also, they didn't abandon the project, the company went out of business, there's no one left in the company to reply anymore... You could try taking it up with fitbit (who bought the software ip) and see what happens.
I sponsored the Pebble Time project in June 2016 with 200 dollars. Then you abandoned the project and said that part of the contribution would be returned, but to the point I have not received anything. What's up?
They are not refunding this project.
So many people got refunds?! How do we get one?
No. I'm going to leave the lights on.
...and finally - last one out, please turn off the lights and shut the door on your way out. So long, and thanks for all the fish.
That's it from them, and that's all from me.
Good bye, god bless, good health.
@KJ - you still here? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@Gideon - NO REFUNDS - FOR ANYONE. PEBBLE ARE DEAD - THERE IS NO SPOON.......
They aren't refunding this project.
Still waiting for the refund...
The company was failing and they were going to have to shutter their doors no matter what happened.
This just reminds me that even the so called success stories are sell outs lol wish some smart dev would start up a home brew os for our old pebble's
@Dino - People are very nostalgic and they will keep coming here to read the comments. Maybe even make a friend or two. It is really becoming hard for me to lock up the place if you keep stopping by. Get going you hear. Alright thanks for stopping by.
...dayam - the Comments section is STILL going?!?!??!??!
I got my full refund last year, through the process in one of the updates.
Don't forget to turn out the lights and lock the door when you're done.
Well folks it been fun (sweeping the floor). I glad you stopped by but now it is over. Move on with your life or maybe create your Kickstarter. I hope you learn from these folks' mistakes before you start. I will always be in the comment sections or I just may visit your Kickstarter. Bye now.
Another update that's completely killed what little was left, now your crappy two arm watch face is all I have
I recently backed an eBike (mate) & my only real concern is they'll pull a "pebble" on us,& Fitbit ain't done shoot for us...hopefully some smart kid will give us some custom fw so I can use mine again but as soon as I get home (on holiday) this is getting slung in the draw of fancy crap that never works! (My original pebbles in there too)...after hols I'll be shopping for the watch I should've got in the first place! (Apple) At least I won't have to do the same routine after every update,in all honesty pebbles been a nightmare,it looks nice n all but it's a bi'atch after updates when you lose all apps/faces & their independent settings.
Rant over, was using apps on this wee holiday until you scrubbed it all,so I'd thought I'd let you know! & if you do another crowdfunding project please please please TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST!
They're not refunding this project...
Any updates on the refund? I haven't received any info or update
since once backers get their refunds (if any) from the time 2 project, they can't post there anymore, many have been posting here to whine about pebble.
...jeez - is the comments section STILL alive?!!!!!!!
Why are all the comment dates invalid??
I never received my pledge or a refund. No notice, no info.
I bought two pebble time and the two of them are no longer working as they used to be. You can not see the images only the principal image. I would like to know how can they be check and repair? I thank you in advance your prompt attention to this matter. My e-mail is: firstname.lastname@example.org
No refund yet. A little frustrating. Not sure what next steps to take.
Got my refund for pebble core and shows like bid dropped and cancelled can't leave comments anymore. PTS has lost all watch faces they show as added at store
Refunded through bank today, if you haven't allready called your bank I would reccomend it
My account got blocked on pebble 2 site. I want to get my refund asap
Anyone else get their account blocked on the pebble 2 site,no refund here and now i don't even know my backer num
Are refunds still coming? Still haven't got one for a pebble time 2.
I'd like a refund. sent a message a few weeks ago, heard nothing back.
Any P2/PT2/Core backers who still have access to the comments, please post the petition url. We really need to let Fitbit know how we feel. Lets get as many people to sign as we can...
Still need the balance of my refund. I upgraded my order and paid the difference to the Time Steel. Is the additional refund in the pipeline?
Received my payment in full. Thanks for the ride. I still love my Pebble Time and original.
Got my refund, too
Got my refund 184usd but it was only partial since pledge was 250usd
>There's no bank in the world with a 5% interest in savings right now
Well, the funds are back on my credit card and i made 9€ from the whole thing (i was charged 165€ back at the end of the Kickstarter and got a 174€ refund). First good thing coming from a weaker € for me ^^
There's no bank in the world with a 5% interest in savings right now ;-)
