      Dear Pebble, Kickstarter,

      This is clearly a scam as this proof of claims is no more applicable now as stated in a mail to some user on 17 May, 2017:
      Please note that additional information in accordance with the Assignment proof of claim process may be required by the Assignee to review your claim. Upon submitting an email to kickstarter@pebble.com, Assignee will provide any such additional and necessary forms and instructions. The deadline for submitting a claim is June 5, 2017, i.e. 180 days from the date of the Assignment, as stipulated under California law.

      No hopes of ever getting the refund.

      Dear Pebble .. the world misses you !! I have my Pebble 2 and love it .. my wife also enjoys hers .. we are really happy to have received our watches and wanted to express that we're sorry to hear that the company sold out to 'the big guys' .. we believe that you and your products would have been the next 'Apple' of the tech world, as your wearables are performing flawlessly !!! We're hoping for a resurgence at some point in the future !! Long Live Pebble !!

      Seems like everyone got the same response about them sending checks or wire-transfer. Then after a reply, they suddenly "vanish". They did plan to send me a check at first, then when I complained about why no response for a month, they mentioned that the check wasn't the best option, so they consulted with staff to review the refunds. Then went back to check and disappeared.

      I CC'd kickstarter@pebble as well as the the company that the person in charge with handling us. I'm sick of them stalling this issue without having any results.

      The common response they would give us is "many international backers" then giving fake hope to resolve our problem by giving us options to get the checks via mail or wire transfer.

    21. Jonatan Skogsfors on July 8

      I just got contacted about getting a refund. They want to send me a check for the amount. In my country (Sweden) cashing a US check can be expensive since it has to be sent back to the US for validation. What is the situation in other non-US countries?

      It's almost a year since I've backed this. I've been waiting for my refunds since last December and still waiting, sending emails to kickstarters etc with no reply.

      Until about a month ago, I sent a query to Fitbit in Twitter, they replied and tell me to send an email at kickstarter@pebble.com as that email is for this kind of situation, and so I did. Fortunately I did receive a reply responsible for Pebble's creditor. However, it may take them weeks to a month for reply since there are a lot of people emailing to them as well. (Thousands of backers). I'll let you know if I get refunded. At least this is making me look forward and being optimistic towards the problem more.

      Hopefully this helps anyone out there.

      @饒澤華 Fitbit's behavior and lack of honesty/accountability is why I'm boycotting them, too. These are the same people who bought out "Coin" and look where that went (hint: down like the Fitbit stock price). Karma?

      I got a mail from Fitbit today, I'm attaching what I got here:

      Dear Kickstarter Backer,

      On December 6, 2016, Pebble Industries, Inc. and Pebble Technology, Corp. (collectively, the “Company” or “Pebble”) entered into an Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors (the “Assignment”). The Assignment is an insolvency proceeding undertaken under state law, in this case the State of California. Pursuant to the Assignment, a company called “Pebble Tech (assignment for the benefit of creditors), LLC” as assignee (“Assignee”) sold certain Pebble assets to Fitbit, Inc. (NYSE:FIT) (“Fitbit”). After this sale to Fitbit (the “Sale”), Pebble devices no longer were manufactured or supported. Backers of Pebble’s Kickstarter fundraising program who had not received their rewards as of December 6, 2016 were to be provided a full refund for any unfulfilled rewards by the Assignee. These refunds were issued in December 2016.

      Any backer who believes that he or she has not yet received a refund for any unrewarded product(s), or has any other question related to the Pebble Kickstarter refund program, should send an email to the Assignee atkickstarter@pebble.com, and include the following information:

      · Your full name;
      · The original email associated with the account used to make the pledge; your current/active email address, if different;
      · Your full mailing address; and,
      · Explanation and logic pertaining to your refund claim for the unrewarded product(s)

      On behalf of the Pebble organization, your loyal support of the Pebble community and brand is appreciated.

      Sincerely,
      Ricardo M and the Fitbit Team

      I've sent an email to Kickstarter the 28th of March, no answer. The fraud is not only from Pebble, but also from Kickstarter. They have to publish an information about the status of this fraud. Else if it is not their and explain why they tax their custumers and how they use these benefit.
      I understand cleary that Kickstarter campaigns are not pre-sales. I can understand that a project can suddenly stop because of bankrupt for example. But when a compagny is sold and the pledges are not taken, the vendor make a kind of fraud of my point of view. I'm waiting of a clear information from Kickstater, that inform any backers of this campaign.
