Have a question?
Surveys will be sent out requesting all of the necessary information so that we can ship rewards to our backers.
We're a small team and most of our energy has been spent on managing the art workload for our October deadline, which is why the survey was not sent out as soon as our campaign ended. Apologies if this caused any worry!
Is there anything we still need to do so you can ship us the book? I think I have usually had a backerkit to do.
Not at all!
Excited is definitely the best word to describe our reaction to exceeding our funding goal. Currently working with the art team, crossing off items from our illustration list!
Am I the only one excited? =D?
Congratulations you guys and gals with this succes!
I'm anxious to get my hands on the (hardcover) book and files.
Absolutely, we appreciate your interest!
Currently, we do not have a pledge tier with the entire book available in digital format. If it becomes available, it will be through our website at http://survivethenightgames.com/ once the shop page opens, but not in the small window before our Kickstarter campaign completes, unfortunately.
Thanks for the quick reply. Will the core book itself be available in digital/pdf format?
Certainly! The Digital Game Resources will include printable files for all contents of the book that one is likely to scan and print out. These include:
-Blank Character Sheet Template
-Character Sheets for all of our sample characters. Currently we plan to have twelve, one for each class. All twelve will have illustrations if we meet our first stretch goal.
-A printable file of every map in the book.
-Rules printouts for quick access at the table.
-We are also deliberating about what extras to include, such as promo art files/desktop wallpapers.
Hi, can you detail what is included in the Digital Game Resources? Thanks -
Check out "How Long is the Night?" https://www.youtube.com/watch… -- a true story. A group of army photographer in the 1950's are sent to Enewetak Atoll in rad suits to take photograph of the devastation caused by a hydrogen bomb.
They accidentally get forgotten and stranded there when a promised boat never arrives. Laying down, sleeping, eating, or drinking means lethal cancer. At night, in the deadly darkness, unseen things start screaming.
I believe David might have already reached out regarding this through private message, but I thought I would post something here as well.
First of all, we apologize for any miscommunication that occurred regarding hardcover/softcover. We did not mention it publicly to my knowledge, but one or two people were told incorrectly through private messaging that we had already financially committed to hardcover.
Hardcover is not off the table, which was part of the reason for the mistake in messaging, and we are looking at that and other possibilities for increasing value, which we will address in future updates. We are sad to see you (or any) backers leave as a result of the last update, but we want to be as transparent as we can with where we are on the way to printing.
Sorry, you just lost me. You said it was going to be hardcover and just downgraded it to soft. For $25 to be right priced it either needs to be hardcover or full color and you're now offering neither. You're charging $10 shipping which was high for hardcover, and way too high for soft. It seems like a cool game, but the value is lacking and you're shifting product targets which says this isn't well planned out. The publishing parameters should have been figured out before launch, along with page design.
Can we get some more details on how the game is played/run? Maybe a look at some of the materials?
Congratulations on funding! Onward and upward! :)
