About this project
“You are hanging from the side wall of a shaft that leads down to a large cavern and the earth is shaking around you. When you started out the day you were on a grand adventure with a team of professionals looking for artifacts in a newly discovered 1,000 year old cavern. About the time you all reached the bottom the ground began to shake and tremble. At first you all thought to push forward thinking it was nothing. As the shaking got stronger you all began to remember that only one person could fit through the entrance of the shaft. Not wanting to get stuck in the collapsing cave you all start to scramble for the climbing gear. While getting your gear ready you find your rope has been tangled up by one of the other explorers. This will be a cut throat climb to get out first or die.”
A push your luck dice game, is where a player's turn consists of continuously rolling the dice until they either roll a losing roll or they decide to stop and take the points they have collected.
Cave Escape has taken this same idea and added a cutthroat twist to it where you can sabotage another player's roll so that they lose it all or force them to quit rolling. It also allows players to get farther faster with special dice that they can purchase on their turn with adrenaline tokens.
More is coming soon, the initial artwork is being worked on.
We have most of the artwork finished and the game mechanics have been played and tested to the point that everything runs smoothly. We need your help to finish up the artwork for the game and start the first production run.
We will be using The Game Crafter for the printing of this game. They provide all of the components that we need for the game. We have seen the first prototype and are very pleased. They do bulk printing and shipping so we can get a better price that we can then pass on to the backers. They have experience with printing games to fulfill Kickstarter rewards and we are confident that they will get the game printed on time.
As the game is now there is still a ways to go to reach the vision of this game. We have some great artists working on it to make sure that everything looks and feels superb. Your funding will help make this game a reality.
Studied Manufacturing Engineering and Technology at Brigham Young University while emphasizing in Innovation and Design. He has studied game design intensely on his own for the last two years. After a year of design work going into this game he is finally ready to launch his first game with the help of two great artists. Devin’s love for tabletop games comes from his childhood when his family would sit around the table for hours playing classic games such as monopoly, risk, chess, etc… If this game is successful he hopes to be able to bring more of his games to the public.
Kolby Larsen is studying Illustration and Business at Brigham Young University. His class notes consist more of doodles from his imagination rather than notes from the lecture. His passion has been drawing dinosaurs and dragons ever since he was a bouncing baby boy. He hopes to create games that provide an environment for fun and healthy competition between friends and family. He also enjoys boating, four wheeling, making movies, watching movies, and surfing youtube. Kolby is always looking for more likes on social media apps. Risks and challenges
This is our first Kickstarter Project at Anjis Games and our first game to be printed in bulk. We are familiar with The Game Crafter, who will be handling the printing and shipping. We have been very impressed with the quality of the prototypes so far and look forward to receiving the finished game before we start production.
As we may run into unforeseen troubles with manufacturing, we will be transparent with our backers about the whole process to make sure that they know what is happening with their money. We will work to make sure that the finished game gets to our backers on time while keeping them up to date if any delays arise.
If you have any questions email us and we will respond as soon as possible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
