A Dark Forest is a series of comics about Elizabeth, her sister Grace and their cat Jonas. This is the fifth part of A Dark Forest and there will be seven parts in total to create the full story. As the story continues, the villagers feel they have to take the strange events happening in the village into their own hands......
The story is based on folktales, fairy tales, myths and legends. Stories that usually concern witches, fairies, magic and enchantments. These stories would often have a dark moral to them. This is what I want to capture, to bring back the fairy tales that have a darker edge.
"Nail the book to the tree every time you leave the house" my mother said to me. "It's to ward away evil spirits Elizabeth."
Living in the Moss family home with Grace, her only sister, and her father for company, Elizabeth just wants to have a normal peaceful life. However, since Grace came into the family under unusual circumstances, Elizabeth can't escape the strange events that are happening. When the towns' villagers get suspicious, Elizabeth must do everything in her power to protect her family.
"A Dark Forest"
This is the fifth issue of A Dark Forest. A Dark Forest will be a comic book series of seven issues. Each comic is hand bound. Each Issue has 16 to 24 pages. The original drawings are all hand drawn in pen and ink and are very intricate and highly detailed. I have taken it to comic conventions all over the UK where it has been very well received. I would love to make the comic more widespread and share it with all illustration and comic book lovers. With your help I will be printing the comic professionally in A5.

Kickstarter is a great way to get my project out there and share my project with you. I have used Kickstarter for issue one, two, three and four and it was a fantastic way to get my comic printed. With your support I will use the money raised to professionally print the third issue of this comic. Its that simple.
Thank you so much for looking at my Kickstarter page! You can show your support by sharing this on Facebook or Twitter with your friends. That would be great!
Risks and challenges
The fifth issue of the comic is all hand drawn, complete, and is ready to print professionally. I am aware that I will need enough time to coordinate book design and quality tests which I have factored into my estimated shipping date. I have successfully funded, printed and shipped issue one, two and three so I know the process of how the complete the project. All that's left is the funding to turn this idea into a reality!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
