The Type-C ports are fully compliant with the USB-IF design standard and are compatible with most brands of laptops. Single port supports a maximum charging power of 100W, which can be used to offer PD charges to most laptops. However, full-power fast charging may not be guaranteed for certain laptops due to compatibility issue.Last updated:
Is the USB-A port mainly used to charge tablets, phones and other electronic equipment, and it is not recommended to charge laptops? If it can be used to charge laptops, which ones are suitable?
Yes, the USB-A port is mainly used to charge phones of new and old models. Because the maximum power output of USB-A is 30W and the charging protocol issues, it can only charge at 5V, so it is not recommended to charge laptops. Mainstream laptops support Type-C port and PD charging protocol.Last updated:

Will USB-C port automatically drop the wattage when being plugged a cable into without any device connected to the other end of the cable?
Only USB-C port will automatically drop the wattage, and it will happen only when the cable is Type to Lightning cable. The power won't drop, if the cable plugged into the port is USB to Lightning or Type-C to Type-C.
The reason why the power will drop is that Type to Lightning cables are built in with an identification chip inside the lightning connector.Last updated:
