Second sponsor and storytelling tools
Only 8 days to go! And things are really starting to come together. I've gathered all the bits of equipment I need and now I just need to tie up a few loose ends before I hop on that plane on the 3rd. Here's the latest news:
Kinesis Photo Gear (www.kgear.com) is on board as an official trip sponsor. After my filters ate it in the tidepool last week I wrote to Kinesis and they sent me a filter pouch to hold all my filters safely so that kind of accident never happens again. A huge thanks to them.
And I got some neat gizmos to help me tell more interesting stories while in NZ. My mom got me a SPOT locator for Christmas, so I recently activated it and set up a webpage (www.joshuacripps.com/whereisjosh) where you can follow along with exactly where I am in New Zealand.
I also picked up an HD HERO2 from GoPro to let me film dynamic videos of my adventures in NZ. It's really great to have a dedicated camcorder, especially one designed for rough and rugged use. Gonna be a lot of fun playing with that thing.
