STAR TREK EQUINOX: THE NIGHT OF TIME
Fifteen years after the destruction of the USS Equinox (some time in 2393) Captain Rudy Ransom, who was beamed from his doomed ship by the Krotownans, is held prisoner in the Delta quadrant for crimes against the race including trespassing in Krowtownan space and the deaths of Krowtownan Crew members.
Captain Ransom has very few choices and but one chance to return to the Alpha Quadrant some 30,000 light years away. When a solution to sending an interplanetary distress signal was ultimately dismissed due to so much Borg activity, the last thing Ransom was ready to face was a single collective being made aware of his location.
With no availability to the Borg Transwarp or even a small shuttle from his prison cell, his years are spent electronically locked to a console intaking new prisoners and creating subroutines for a culture of merciless key turners.
A single chance to escape, A wormhole that will engulf anything and everything within 500 miles of its massive gravity including a distress signal or small probe. With the distress signal sent 125 years into the past, two inhabitants of the alpha quadrant intercept the distress signal: a Federation Medical Space Station and a Klingon battle cruiser. The Klingon Empire with a thirst for advanced military knowledge, launch their Battle cruisers to retrieve this knowledge from the mind of Captain Ransom and destroy anything in their way.
Captain Gary Mitchell has assigned the USS Equinox to retrieve Captain Ransom from the wrong side of the neutral zone and restore peace to the galaxy.
The Equinox crew has diagnosed that the wormhole, along with their chances, will collapse in 72 hours and with the Klingons, Krotownans, and Romulans hot on their tail, can Starfleet save one of their own?
It should be no surprise that Star Trek continues to grow an ever widening enthusiastic fan base. And just when you think it can't get any better, it does! Together actor John Savage and writer Camren T Burton have put together a new script which is so impressive that veteran Star Trek actors and directors are saying they believe it's the best Star Trek script that they' have read in ten years.
As Executive Producer, Janet O'Connell, I am honored to present a project that springs not only from the desire of fans but also from Star Trek veteran actors and directors.
Already we have signed up some great proven actors whose names you will recognize. Does the name John Savage (The Deer Hunter) ring a bell? I'll give you a small hint: think Star Fleet Commander. Not only has Savage helped write the script, the acclaimed actor will be on the deck.
As they say in show business, "That ain't all folks!"
Gary Lockwood, who starred in the ORIGINAL TV PILOT of the classic 1960's Star Trek series, is reprising his role as Gary Mitchell, best friend of James T. Kirk. Twenty-one years retired from acting, Lockwood has agreed to put on the Star Fleet uniform and take the helm of a role that has him 'chaffing at the bit' to do.
So many of the great talents that have worked behind the scenes on previous productions have also agreed to beam aboard what we feel is the start of a simply magnificent project. Regrettably, there are too many to list here, but in no way have less of our wholehearted gratitude. Fans and all others, please believe many of these accomplished people who have already given generously of themselves.
We feel we are responding to a call for a film not only consistent with how true fans expect it should be, but will also entertain general audiences. With this in mind, it seems only appropriate that we should ask its many devotees and die-hard fans to help fund the arguably greatest science fiction saga in modern history.
As it now stands, we have partial funding to produce the first 48 minutes and the pilot. We need your participation to help cover the added costs of travel, marketing, special effects and the many unexpected expenses. Whatever you offer will only go toward production and not to fat paychecks.
In my former role as Vice President at Smith Barney, I helped many people to reach their financial dreams. Today, you and I, have the opportunity to bring about a dream of a different kind. As a writer and poet, I am a fuss-budget about quality. I am personally invested in this project and hope you will play a part in it.
We are asking you - the fan, the friend, the family member - to help us launch this project as we have partial funding from two great investors to produce the first 48 minutes and the pilot. We want to make sure at the end of the day we can share this feature with everyone, everywhere. Autographed Pictures, Red Carpet Events, Personal Appearances and a chance to beam aboard as a cast member will all be rewarded to you for your help in making this the film it can be. As we do have partial funding, sometimes the hidden costs, travel, marketing, and special effects, can always use that extra help. know every dime we raise will go directly into production, not into the pockets of people looking to make this project their personal paycheck. I protected peoples money for a living and always invested smartly and in my opinion this will be the next big Star Trek feature ever made -- and the smartest investment you can make right now!

Risks and challenges
This is a project with a time limit for Comic Con. We will loose an opportunity as of the 8th of April 2014 to go into production in time for San Diego.
We have had some great runs at comic con and now we have a chance if even a small chance to take that baby step toward raising funds for what everyone is calling the BEST Syfy script in over ten years.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
