Shipping Details and Wallet Information
Some of you have already received your wallet and others will be receiving them in the next days. It was quite a whirlwind shipping out all of your orders this week. Thank you to everyone who completed their survey promptly. If you haven't, please do so! Surveys that were completed after our first lock-down will continue to process in batches. We still plan to ship orders containing FSHD Orange, Red and the International Billfold in February.
When the leather is tanned, it is infused with oil and wax. The wax emanates to the surface over time, and if not used, the the leather appears to have a dusty coating. With use, the wax is continually rubbed back into the leather, conditioning it. This is one reason the leather is self-healing. So if your wallet arrives and it looks dusty, simply just start using it. If it bothers you, rub it with a microfiber cloth. You should not use any cleaners, conditioners or other products on your leather.
Remember that leather is a natural material and will shape with time. Your wallet may feel tight initially. That's normal. Load your wallet with the items you want to carry and start using it. Within a few days your wallet will form around your items and the cards will slide in and out with ease.
1) I got a shipping email from BackerKit but it didn't have a tracking number--where is my package?
We are still trying to figure out why BackerKit sent out fulfillment emails and we apologize for any confusion. If you got an email that had no tracking number it just means your order was sent to our fulfillment software. When it actually ships you will receive a tracking number / link via email.
2) My shipment notification shows multiple wallets - I only ordered 1. Will more than one be sent? Will I be charged more?
There was some confusion with orders that selected red as their color, because we initially requested a backup color if there wasn't enough demand for red. This shows up as an additional wallet. If you ordered 1 wallet, one will be shipped, regardless of what your shipping email said. Sorry for the confusion. We're working with BackerKit to rectify that for future orders.
