About this project
The IQ Loft was launched to help people of all backgrounds turn their visions into actions and actions into success. We continue to prove that anyone can start a business or make social impacts if they take the right steps to understand their target markets and communities, obtain the proper resources needed, properly plan their strategy, and minimize their overall risks by using proven tools such as the lean startup method or business canvas model. We have also helped people gain the funding they need by introducing them to angel investors, crowdfunding groups, and pitch competitions.
Our clients love the work that we do, and how we simplify the startup process for them. We are now looking to take the next step by developing an app that uses smart technology to make our services available to anyone with an idea and a dream. We have partnered with some of the best freelancers on the market and have formed alliances with the best IT incubators to create some powerful tools that will be available through our app. Contribute to our initiative today so that we can develop our tools and bring them to the market.

Network - There are many networking apps out there, but none of them effectively cater to the specific needs of an entrepreneur. Whether you are trying to find a partner, advisor, employee, donor, or investor, our tool will ease the pain of finding the right person to add to your team. Our users will have the opportunity to either network virtually or through in-person meetups/events.
Build business models - One of the biggest mistakes people make when acting on a great business idea is, they do not take the time to understand the in's and out's of their potential business. This is partly due to laziness, and partly due to the difficulty of building an effective business model. We simplify the experience for our customers by having them answer a variety of simple questions which will help them understand their business, and allow our app to produce a business model that they can run with and continue updating as they progress.
Educate - The IQ Loft will be offering in-person and virtual training events/webinars for our users to educate themselves and their teams. Our events will be led by industry experts that will educate people about elevator pitches, pitch presentations, business plans, business models, lean startup methods, industry trends, data management, and much more.
Request support - Making a change or starting a venture can take a toll. We are here to ease the headaches that come with making change, and are available for consultation with a click of a button.
Obtain virtual resources - We are in the business to simplify things for our customers, and this is why we will provide a variety of virtual resources our customers need in one central location. Some of the resources include collaboration tools, web meetings, animated presentation tools, and a handful of original virtual tools that will be brought to the market by The IQ Loft.

Risks and challenges
We at The IQ Loft like to practice what we preach, so we did our due diligence to minimize our risks of failure. We used various tools and methods to ensure that we have a great understanding of our target markets; gathered feedback directly from our customers to validate their needs; thoroughly researched our competition; partnered with experienced professionals to strengthen the credibility of our team; and completed a few other tasks to confirm that we are headed down a meaningful path.
Despite all of these actions, the reality is that every launch comes with risks. Below are some of the risks specific to our project that our team is mindful of, and are ready to counter as needed.
1. There is an external risk that a big company will decide to penetrate our market and compete with us. The reality is, big companies have cash and can compete on price, but they unlikely have the passion and drive that our team carries. We aren't a big name company that puts a one-size fits all product or service out there for customers to use. Instead, we make it a point to connect directly with each customer, understand their specific needs, provide them with a unique experience that is catered to their specific idea, and maintain an open dialogue with them to ensure we guide them to their goals. This is a principle that we will always use for every single customer, every time. It is also a key ingredient to the success of every engagement we partake in.
2. There is an inevitable risk that after our tool is developed, it will need to be updated. The worlds of technology and business are both ever-changing, and there is a 100% chance that our tool will need to constantly be enhanced in order to keep up with the demand for new processes, new technology, new entrepreneurial methods, new industry standards, and so much more. We at The IQ Loft recognize this risk, and already have a plan in place to update our tools after the initial launch. We are prepared to roll out a series of enhancements that will upgrade our tools by using new technologies that are currently in their infant stages. By doing so, we expect our user experience and satisfaction levels to rise a few tiers higher than the initial products we launch.
3. There is a risk that we will not have enough funds to immediately take care of the next round of enhancements, which may defeat the purpose of this overall project. As new technology continues to shape and dictate our markets, so do the costs that go along with them. Our Kickstarter goal is to raise at least $30K, which will cover the initial development of the tools, the marketing associated with the tools, any other costs related to bringing our tools to the market, and the kickstarter campaign costs. That being said, we hope to raise more on kickstarter than our stated goal of $30K, and we need your support. Act now to contribute and show your support! With any additional funds that we raise, we intend to cover the preparation, development, and release of the next wave of enhancements. We are also preparing to run a strong campaign which will bring awareness to our customer base about our tools. We hope this campaign will translate into future income that can be invested right back into the enhancement of our tools. We are also considering to bring on investors, which will secure the capital we need to get through the next series of enhancements.
