It started with good vibes and a dream - my dream. I was just a 23 year old singer/songwriter looking to record a 4-track EP with the well-loved and respected roots music producer, E.N Young.
One verse led to another and soon enough a 17-track album was born. With E.N's help, I was able to gather 6 of the most talented, young, and aspiring musicians to help bring the dream of HIRIE to life.
After an exciting debut album launch on September 3rd, (we hit #4 on the iTunes charts!) we sense the demand for HIRIE has arrived!
In an industry largely influenced by male artists, HIRIE revives the essence of reggae through the eyes of a woman.

My brothers, and world - renowned reggae band, Tribal Seeds, have extended an invitation for us to open for them on their Tribal Youth 2013 U.S. Fall Tour!
The thought of traveling 10,000+ miles across the Mainland for 44 days with the chance to play in front of our largest audiences yet humbles and excites us. Our hearts are in it, but our financial capability to tour is short-changed.
This is where we must ask our current, and future fans to consider investing into a tour that could ultimately "kick-start" the rest of our career.

Every dollar you donate goes directly to the following necessities:
-An 7-sleeping RV that will provide shelter and sleep for 6 weeks, as well as safe storage for our musical equipment. (includes insurance if we break down)
-Gas to travel over 10,000 miles to each city
-Food to provide our bodies nourishment- (We will be buying in bulk to avoid over-spending, and will be scraping by- it's worth it!)

We thank you for considering a donation towards 7 aspiring musician's dreams to affect the world in a positive and uplifting way.
The $8,000 we ask for is the bare minimum to get 7 people by on tour. Every dollar beyond, will go directly to food, as the budget currently gives us about $10/day for 3 meals per person.
Most of us are resigning from our day jobs to tour, as well as parting with our loved ones, and for some, children. We do it because we believe in HIRIE, and for the opportunity to meet each and every one of you.
With much Love, Respect, and Aloha,
HIRIE & Family <3
Risks and challenges
There are many risks and challenges we could face after reaching our $8K goal. Some of those may include unforeseen events such as:
-Weather Conditions that disable us from reaching a particular destination
-Sicknesses within the band
-RV (transportation) issues while on the road
-Equipment/technical issues
We plan on overcoming any of the unforeseen events by prior planning.
-We will check all weather and road conditions in advance.
-We plan on staying healthy on the road by juicing daily, morning yoga, and stocking up on Vitamin C!
-We are renting a RV that includes insurance in the event we need expedited roadside assistance.
-We will make sure to smooth out any technical and equipment issues at sound check by showing up early to events and testing things out. Worst case scenario- we will be able to rent or borrow equipment from another band.
