Chrono Rider is a story driven 2-D action RPG with both single-player and local mutiplayer support. Korion Studios aims to deliver a thrilling narrative and an immersive gameplay experience inspired by 16-bit RPGs and classic sidescrollers. Chrono Rider begin its open early-access beta in December 2014 on the PC, followed by a full release in March 2015. With your support we will be able to afford game engine assets to improve our development. Multiplatform support is subject to approval and the PC platform is our focus.
Start as Captain Corgi, a Chrono Rider capable of traveling through time and space to find your fellow friends and unlock the mysteries of ZoogleZon. Throughout Captain Corgi's adventures you will solve puzzles, and challenge rogue Chrono Riders. The story is influenced by the decisions you make with the characters you meet.
You will encounter rogue Chrono Riders, sentient robots, and destructive entities on your journey of lost knowledge and technology.
Depending on the choices you make, your party size and support will vary throughout your play-through
Chrono Rider is a PC game with gamepad compatibility and support for local multiplayer (both cooperative and versus modes). Through stretch goals we will port to multiple platforms such as the PS4 and Vita, and hopefully additional consoles in the future (after unlocking Unity support).
The gameplay, story, and exploration mechanics are inspired by several games from the Metroidvania genre and action games such as Viewtiful Joe and Rogue Legacy.

Risks and challenges
After months of planning, writing, drawing and programming the vision for the project became vivid and succinct. That was the biggest hurdle to overcome. The second was exposing this to the public eye.
We've written and planned as much as possible up to this point, and with the framework in place we have overcome difficult obstacles with gameplay mechanics and object design. Issues will come, as they always do in any long-term project, but we feel thoroughly prepared; we have the proper tools and skills and with excellent developers with vast wells of knowledge and years of experience prototyping, building, and releasing games. We are incredibly lucky to be involved in this community.
The risks and challenges of this kickstarter is collaborating with our designers and artists, conquering programming glitches and making a unique, refreshing experience for our backers.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
