Divide of a Nation Playing Cards
Unbranded Deck Add-On Now Available!!
Divide of a Nation is a 100% custom deck of playing cards being produced by the Barclay Mountain Co. and printed by the United States Playing Card Co. It will be the second deck of the Decoded History Series in which we’ll explore the more interesting pieces of our history while at the same time making a unique experience by creating coded messages that are discreetly hidden within the design.
This deck will explore the conspiracy to reignite the Civil War by decapitating the heads of the Federal Government. It will also include information on the secret society known as the Knights of the Golden Circle and their rumored treasure.
As most people know, John Wilkes Booth assassinated Abraham Lincoln at Ford's Theatre the night of April 14, 1865. As time passes, fewer people realize that this was just the tip of the iceberg to a much larger plot.
Booth's co-conspirators were Lewis Powell and David Herold, who were assigned to kill Secretary of State William H. Seward, and George Atzerodt who was tasked to kill Vice President Andrew Johnson.
By simultaneously eliminating the top three people in the administration, Booth and his co-conspirators hoped to sever the continuity of the United States government thus reigniting the Civil War which ended only a few days earlier.
The Knights of the Golden Circle
Below is a map of Washington DC with a Knights of a Golden Circle template superimposed on top of it. As legend would have it, the KGC buried millions in gold across many secret locations to finance a second Civil War. As means for future generations to locate these treasures, the KGC were known to carve treasure map templates into trees and rocks.
The template below would suggest that the Washington Monument (under construction at the time of the Civil War) would be an excellent hiding place to keep confederate gold safe, right under the nose of their enemy.
Warning: Please don't disturb the Washington Monument and/or the land surrounding it. The probability of anything being there is pretty low.
Rise of a Nation Playing Cards
Early in 2016, the Barclay Mountain Co., released Rise of a Nation. This deck was the first in the Decoded History Series. It was printed by the United States Playing Card Co. and can be found at the gits shops in Colonial Williamsburg Virginia and the Smithsonian museums in Washington DC.
This deck also featured Washington DC and the role secret societies had in forming our nation. The codes within the deck identified 10 locations within the nations capital. When the locations are looked at on a map, they create what's known as a tree of life.
Decoded History Series Future Projects
Once Divide of a Nation is produced we'll be focusing on the next two decks in the series, Call of a Nation based on the Franklin Roosevelt years in office and Fear of a Nation based on the assassination of John F Kennedy (and the rise of the cold war).
Notice on the video above how the eagle lines up perfectly with the lawn of the Capitol building. Likewise, notice how the street grid come together perfectly at the tip of the pyramid. We'll explore more into this and other topics as we develop the series. But it's only with your support, that I'll be able to help make this series happen.
Risks and challenges
The artwork is all done for this project. I'm still finalizing some of the clues but that's nearly done as well. Basically the clues will lead you through Washington DC to discover various Civil War artifacts and memorials. Sorry, no buried treasures... that I know of.
With any print project you should expect delays but I don't foresee any happening at this moment.
