“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
Race to be the first to "Bear Good Fruit". Bear Good Fruit was created to inspire people to get out, get dirty, and get gardening. To do this we created a card game that is fun, competitive, and challenging. In Bear Good Fruit you must be the first to bear 3 different good fruit (2-players) or 2 different good fruit (3-4 players) by planting a seed, sprout, tree, and a fruit. Each tree bears one fruit, so plant as often as possible. Watch out, as weather can change, by playing Weather cards, affecting what can be grown and what gets destroyed. Action cards can protect your plants using ladybugs and worms or destroy other players plants with tornadoes, birds, and weeds. Special cards like Tree of Life and Super Fruit can not be destroyed so hold on to those and plant them as quick as possible. The game can switch momentum at any time in this fun game that changes every time you play.
Bear Good Fruit is home grown. We created the game using card stock from our wedding and drew images for each card in crayon. At first it was a silly game created to avoid my PhD dissertation and then it grew into this competitive game that my wife ended up playing every day. It was so fun we decided to make it into a real card game to share with others.
The Bear Good Fruit Card Game
Every weekend we go to the farm. We also love to grow veggies in our garden. Also, being outside is good for your health when working on a PhD. When creating the Bear Good Fruit card game we could not find any games that were fun and inspired people to go out side. Using our passion of gardening and hanging out at the farm we created this card game. We had several iterations of development and had many people of all ages play the game.
